After an eight month search, Greg Standafer has been called by the Board as Camp Lebanon’s fourth Executive Director. He will be installed December 1, replacing Bill Abeler who along with Lisa will be retiring at year’s end
Greg and wife, Jill, have long-standing connections to Camp. Jill first attended as a child, and both she and Greg worked on staff during the 1990’s. Most recently, Greg has served since August 2023 as the Director of Operations. With twenty years of pastoral ministry experience, including four years at CLBA member Oak Grove Church (Golden Valley), Greg brings a conservative theological foundation and a passion for sharing God’s Word in advancing Camp’s vision. Greg also has a background in personal financial management, which will be an asset as Camp works to broaden its base of support as ministry opportunities expand, especially with the new gym.
Greg and Jill reside in Long Prairie and are blessed with three grown children: Alia (Seth), Jackson (Kelsey), and Jennica plus four grandsons (Luke, Danny, MacGregor, Louis).
President Mark Waller communicated the Board’s unanimous endorsement. “We are confident that under his leadership, Camp Lebanon will continue to flourish in its mission to help guests, young and old, experience the delight of being loved by God.”

The gym floor is yet to be installed and staff are just beginning to figure out how to use it, but THE ROCK is already having a “Funnest Fun!” impact on programming. Thanks to all who helped to BUILDIT and FILLIT!
