Four of those are programmed by Camp: two Mega Fun Weekends for grades 3-6 and two Arctic Blasts for junior and senior high students. Camp is also privileged to partner with
churches to help them love their kids to Jesus. And when they’re done, four full sessions of
are coming! The temps may be cold but Camp is the “hot” place to be this winter!
Unprecedented. Humbling. Amazing! A dictionary of adjectives is required to describe the “BlizzardofBlessings” that inundated Camp year end. Official stats will take a few weeks to finalize, but we know enough to be certain that Camp Lebanon has incredible friends! Coming off a year up 20% in ministry activity, Camp was able to direct most year-end giving to the gym campaign. Six families led the way with a $75,000 matching challenge that took just 18 days to fulfill. The original goal was to reach 80% ($2M) by December 31, but friends kept giving and helped Camp surpass 86% ($2.15M!) Now with less than $330K to raise, Camp is on track for a big Memorial Day celebration (100%!) Praise GOD and thank YOU!
With the site cleared and construction documents completed, preparations are moving forward for the new gym. Many important decisions are still needed on finishes, furnishings, and equipment, especially sound and lighting. As the Lord leads and provides, the plan is to complete site work and footings in late April with construction of the pre-cast gym box in early May. A “Barn Raising” will be scheduled for late May for volunteers to help place the SIPS panels used for the commons. Prayers appreciated!
