We are so happy to welcome you to the 2017 Camp For All Superheroes For All Gala! At Camp For All we believe the true superheroes are the nearly 11,000 campers who attend Camp throughout the year and the many volunteers that help them to Discover Life.

Camp For All is important to our campers. They find hope, grow in self– confidence, and realize they are not alone. Our unique barrier–free facility, universal programming and professional staff host 64 different organizations. To be a part of this life changing Camp, we encourage you to visit or volunteer at our campsite or at our Camp For All 2U program here in Houston!

This event illustrates the spirit of Camp For All by pulling together a super team who worked countless hours behind the scenes to make this evening such a success. We would like to give a special thank you to our committee members, whose efforts exceeded our wildest expectations.

HONOREES

The Behanick family has been involved with Camp For All for more than 5 years. Tom Behanick joined the Camp For All Board in 2011 and it was his vision of giving back that inspired his entire family to take their own part in helping individuals with special needs discover life at Camp For All. In 2010, Tom Behanick and his family funded the first Texas A&M Outcome Study to be conducted at Camp For All. The Behanicks were also instrumental in launching the innovative Camp For All 2U program (a program that brings camp activities to sick children at major hospitals) by becoming the first committed donors. Currently, Tom and Janet’s children, Whitney and James, along with daughter–in– law, Amanda, are members of the Young Professionals group.

Pat Schaefer has been a member of the Camp For All Board of Directors from 2006–2015 where she served as Chairman of the Board in 2012 and 2013. Pat’s passion for Camp has shown through over the years as she has become the super volunteer, helping anywhere she is needed including conceiving and supporting the Outcome Study. She has introduced donors and new organizations to Camp For All and her love for the campers we serve radiates onto everyone she meets.

She has served on numerous Gala Committees and helped to take the gala to greater heights. She is now an instrumental part of the 25th Anniversary Committee. Pat currently also serves on the Camp For All Chairs’ Council.

Ms. Yeager is also known throughout the art community, having been featured in several publications, including “Texas Abstract”, “The Gallery” and “Luxe Magazine”.

Her pieces are exceptional and intricate as there are between 15 and 20 layers, starting with the numerous layers of gesso, red clay, gilding, paint and glazes.

Her work has an Asian bent in its simplicity, oftentimes having an austere landscape imagery and reference to the natural world. It is imbued with a pantheistic reverence. The artist describes her paintings as Zen westerns particularly when painting landscapes from which she draws inspiration from the great southwest.
