ABOUT CAMP FOR ALL
Camp For All is a national leader in creating and providing proven lifechanging experiences for children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs through passionate and professional staff, cutting edge facilities and innovative programming. The barrier-free, not just accessible, camp is located on 206 acres in Washington County, Texas and has served more than 175,000 campers since 1998. Camp For All 2U provides this same life-changing camp experience for children who are unable to leave the hospital. The unique, award winning, multi-day camp program allows patients to canoe, learn archery, roast s’mores, pet the barnyard animals and more all without leaving the hospital! CAMPERS come to Camp For All with many challenges including autism, muscular dystrophy, cancer, Down syndrome, cognitive differences, multiple sclerosis, neurofibromatosis, PKU, spina bifida, sickle cell disease, seizure disorders, HIV, brain trauma, PTSD, missing limbs and more.

Dear Camp For All Family, Every year is a good year at Camp For All, including 2021! Although the pandemic continued to be a challenge, the gates at Camp For All were wide open. Staying on top of the changing challenges and protocols, our campers were safe and extremely happy to experience all the joy that Camp provides. We served nearly 2,800 campers, which included some new Partners like Beloved and Beyond for families who have children with special needs. Also, in the spring we welcomed back Expedition Balance, a camp for our heroic veterans with challenges. Since many of our summer Partners serve children with compromised immune systems, there were some cancellations. However, we were creative and condensed the summer over a shorter period, which better utilized our summer staff and reduced expenses. Those that didn’t cancel, reworked their camps, like Camp Periwinkle, for children with cancer who offered a family camp and had one family in each of the eighteen cabins from Sunday to Wednesday and then another group of families, Wednesday to Saturday. Camp For Y’all, which was created in 2020 for any family to come to Camp with one family per cabin and mostly self-run activities was well attended on open weekends and gave us some needed revenue. Campfires and s’mores were much more fun than being isolated at home. To top it off, we are proud to say that the program won a 2021 Innovation Award from the Houston Business Journal! In fact, Camp For All won several awards in 2021:

I want to thank Patrick Samuels who served as Board Chair in 2020 and 2021. Not only did he help keep the Board of Directors and Camp For All moving forward, but he did it by Zoom! In fact, the new Board members who joined us in those two years didn’t meet their fellow Board members in person until March of 2022! Camp For All fundraising events were prime examples of our flexibility, creativity and amazing Donor support. The fall 2020 greater Camp gala that was postponed was held, virtually in January of 2021. It was so successful that we had a second greater Camp gala in October 2021! It was held in Star Place at Camp. Everyone was so glad to be together, especially at Camp For All! It was a perfectly beautiful evening and there was magic in the room! The Houston gala was cancelled in January of 2021 and ended up being held virtually in April. “Attendees” hosted parties in their own homes and not only did they have a blast, but they were very generous. The Over the Edge event took place in April, as well. Howard Hughes hosted us at The Woodlands Tower in The Woodlands. It was a sensational 30-story building rappelling event. The Camp For All Young Professionals launched a new event in 2021. The “Tour-nament” introduced new people to Camp for a disc golf competition and a tour of camp at the same time. It was held in August and was extremely hot with a cool bunch of competitors. I want to extend my sincere thanks to each of our incredibly generous 2021 donors. Thank you for believing in the Camp For All Mission and enabling us to transform lives. Special thanks to the Camp For All Board of Directors, Chairs Council, Advisory Board, Camp Friends Board and Young Professionals Board for your service. Your passion and support helped Camp For All remain vital to those we served. Thank you to the Camp For All Staff. You were there every day, always working to take love, laughter, hope and healing to a higher level.
One of the most im portant accomplishmen ts in 2021 was the revisi oning of the Camp Fo r All Mission Statement. We didn’t change the missi on! We needed a statem ent that encompass ed everything Camp For All provides for child ren and adults with challe nging illnesses or spec ial needs. And we wanted it to be memorable. FINANCIAL SUMMARY 2021 In 2021, due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Camp For All covered 82% of the costs associated with delivering camp with the help of generous donors, the employer retention credit for payroll taxes and the second PPP loan. As campers returned to us, we worked in continued partnership with our Not-For-Profit Partners to create a safe and joyful environment at a lower capacity and abbreviated seasons.

FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS:
The BIG FREEZE in February 2021 wreaked havoc at Camp For All, damaging the fire sprinkler system, alarms, and other extensive damages in the Main Building, Pool Area, Pavilion, Arts & Crafts, Water Wells, staff housing and the Camp Director’s House. We are proud to report that with tremendous Camp For All Staff Team efforts and outside contractor help, repairs were made to all areas and Camp was ready for Campers by May 2021!!
