Hillsides Toy + Candy Drive Outreach Gift Fair Faculty and Staff Toy Drive
This year’s Hillsides gift giving season was as special as ever with a virtual toy drive. The children of Hillsides created an Amazon wish list for easy virtual giving this year.
For decades, Campbell Hall has had a special relationship with Hillsides, a non-profit organization in Pasadena dedicated to healing at-risk children and young adults and strengthening families by providing a range of innovative services. Thanks to our generous community, the 2020 Outreach Gift Fair Holiday Market raised more than $25,000 for a variety of organizations including training of a guide dog for the visually impaired, support for the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, and library supplies for Hillsides Homes for Children in Pasadena. These meaningful gifts were made in honor of friends, family, colleagues, and teachers! Thank you to our generous Campbell Hall faculty and staff who donated unwrapped gifts for children in need across the San Fernando Valley in conjunction with the Studio City Neighborhood Council and Paul Krekorian. Campbell Hall also made donations to our sister schools in Haiti and to the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.

Ty’s Ty Dye for Good
Tylee R. ’28 started a fun quarantine hobby with her mom that quickly turned into something with a much bigger cause. Ty’s Ty Dyes was born as an online shop with a percentage of the proceeds donated to BLM-LA. She has already donated thousands and was featured on the NBC Nightly News as well as several local publications.
CH Girl Scout Troop Gives Back
Campbell Hall Girl Scout Troop 3296 consisting of 30 elementary school girls in grades 2, 3, and 5, in partnership with Colfax Charter Elementary Troop 3006, assembled, decorated, and donated over 300 masks to Support + Feed as part of their end-of-the-year community service project. The masks were incorporated into “care kits” which also included toiletry items and food for distribution to unhoused neighbors in need.
Laptops With Love
Inspired by participating in Campbell Hall’s CREW public partnership program, Amanda S. ’21 recently started “Laptops with Love,” a program to collect used computers and donate to children in need of computers for online schooling. She taped a feature for KNBC News as she delivered computers to El Nido Family Centers in Los Angeles. Visit laptopswithlove.net for more information.
