Camila is a passionate and dedicated makeup artist who discovered her love for beauty and fashion in 2018. Originally from Colombia, Camila relocated to Calgary, Alberta, to broaden her horizons. With a professional degree in artistic makeup, she employs a skin-forward approach, aiming to communicate narratives through her looks and projects. Camila values research and creative exploration in the early stages of her projects, believing they are play a key role in her creative process. Jorge Tadeo Lozano University is one of the most recognized institutions in Colombia for its art and design programs. Being the head makeup artist for their graduates’ final catwalk was a huge privilege. I had the opportunity to lead my own makeup and hairstyling team, recreating the designed looks. Punto Blanco is a staple brand in Colombian’s fashion. For the launch of their collection ‘Siente PB’ in the BCapital Fashion Festival 2019, I worked on the backstage as part of the makeup team.
