The REAL Truth Behind Education Cameron Barke
This post may honestly catch a little bit of flack from the more Conservative types, but it is something I want to raise awareness to… I am going to start of with just a little bit of a story, hope you don’t mind. When I was going to school as a kid, I remember having this feeling of, “what the heck is the point of this?!” I personally grew up in an entrepreneurial environment… Alot different than many out there, so my views contrast the norm. [If you want to read more of my story, you can check it out here, it gets pretty wild] Long story short, my dad owned his own architecture business, and as well was a seasoned marketer before he died. RIP So as a kid I watched him pull in paychecks owning his own business, all the while I’m going to school fumbling through one of those graphing calculators – radians, degrees, pi, tan, cos, sin… wondering how in the heck is this going to make me money… Disagree as much as you’d like, but MANY of societal problems would be solved with just a little extra income… I’m not saying money is happiness – it’s just the fuel that allows you go through life a little more smoothly. But don’t lie to me, when you find a 20$ bill in an old jacket you haven’t worn since last spring, you get pretty happy… Just saying… I was once taught by my mentorship that:
