Himmy’s costume

08 Himmy was very excited! He was going to a costume party in the afternoon. He had to think of an interesting costume to wear. But before the party, he had to paint some chairs for the dining room.

He painted the fi rst chair yellow and thought, ‘I might go to the party in a banana costume.’ Colour Himmy’s costume. Then he painted a chair red and thought, ‘A tomato costume is a good idea, too.’ Next he painted a chair green and thought, ‘I could be a tree.’ But when he painted a chair blue, he thought, ‘I could be the sky. Or the sea.’ He couldn’t decide what to be! Then he looked in the mirror and saw that he had lots of paint on his clothes. He looked like a rainbow. Himmy thought, ‘A rainbow!
