A month for heritage

February sees a return of Waipā Heritage walks in both Cambridge and Te Awamutu, as well as a month of associated heritage scavenger hunts. The events are being held by Waipā District Libraries to mark Heritage Month.

The scavenger hunts in both

Cambridge and Te Awamutu are open to entrants of all ages through to February 28.

A free guided heritage tour of central Cambridge, hosted by Michael Jeans and Sue Milner, will take place February 16, from 10am to noon. The walk will cover Cambridge town from north to south, passing heritage buildings and key locations. It will require a reasonable level of fitness.
