In August, I interviewed a man named Zeke. I asked him: Why are you sponsoring a climbing wall for Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF)?
He responded, “My family are sponsoring this climbing wall for CCF because we have had a close friendship with Scott Neeson for more than 15 years and wanted to bring a sport I love to the students of CCF.”
Zeke told me that building this climbing wall for CCF is a tribute to his beloved friend who has passed away.
What is the beneft of climbing a wall?
Zeke said there are many positive benefts for children at CCF who participate in this sport.
It’s fun, good for your health, increases resilience and perseverance, and helps you overcome obstacles. The sport is about problem-solving.
Zeke said that by providing the climbing wall for CCF students, he can expect training so that students can learn more about it and practice on the wall in their spare time.
When Zeke visited in August, he trained some of the students. It is hoped that the students who attended the training with him would share their knowledge of safe play with the other children so that many students could enjoy climbing the wall.
