Peanut is an important crop worldwide and particularly in Córdoba, Argentina. Peanut yields are around 2 tons/ ha worldwide, with increasing levels in the last decade in Córdoba (around 3 tons/ha). Agriculture provides opportunities to support biodiversity through alternative agricultural practices, for instance introducing some changes and enhancing sustainability. Practices linked to ecological intensification agriculture (i.e., crop rotations and diversification, farm-level diversification, reduced use of agrochemical, etc.) may reduce the negative impacts on biodiversity through the reduction of external inputs and maintaining or enhancing ecosystem functions that regulate and support the production of many crops.
