Carnarvon High School learners goes to Morocco

LearnersfromCarnarvonHigh School in Pixley ka Seme District Municipality, were invited to Morocco to represent South Africa at an international robotics competition from May 18–21, 2023 In November 2022, the South Africa Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) hosted the first For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Lego League for the Northern Cape regional competition in Carnarvon, Kareeberg Municipality A team called Toxic Legos (consisting of 8 learners, namely Cadi Jann, Taylor Motors, Almay Van

Wyk, Sharia Slaverse, Revan De Wee, Azalia Olivier, and Winetro Lottering) from Carnarvon High School was awarded the Robot Design award. They further went through to the national level, where they won the breakthrough award. Due to these awards, they were invited to represent the country at the FIRST Lego League Morocco Open International 2023. The Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality wished them all the best.
