Equipping the Next Generation to Impact the World for Christ

Calvary Christian School students will use their minds and hands to actively serve and glorify God with their whole life, wherever His will leads them.

CALVARY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL Calvary Christian School has been providing the Cincinnati metropolitan area with a quality Christ-centered education since 1974. Although a vital ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, CCS has more than 50 different churches represented in its student body. Central to our understanding of education is that any learning that excludes the Creator of the Universe is incomplete. Therefore, the centrality of God and His love for us and the truthfulness of Scripture are integrated into every subject taught at every grade level.

• 65+ Acre Campus • Facility includes: preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, library, cafeteria, two computer labs, gymnasium, two playgrounds, two soccer fields and two baseball fields • CCS offers grades K3 - 12 • 60+ faculty & staff members • ALL CCS teachers are ACSI certified • Accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), AdvancED/SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) and Kentucky Non-Public School Commission

BIBLICAL INTEGRATION Everything we do is centered around our Christian faith. We integrate biblical truth and teach it throughout every class. Our integration of the Bible goes deeper than “just a Bible class. We are shaping and forming a Christian world and life view throughout all of our studies. Each class begins with prayer, we offer weekly chapel services for grades 1st-12th and we utilize a comprehensive Bible curriculum. Calvary Christian students are also challenged to strive for excellence, think critically and own their faith. We offer opportunities to our students to live out and mature in their faith.

The academic program at Calvary Christian School supports our mission of “Equipping the Next Generation to Impact the World for Christ. Our academic standards exceed the requirements for the state of Kentucky and prepare our students to make a difference in the world, in college, and in the work force. For those students who qualify, we provide an Intervention Program. For those who seek the challenge, we offer a full range of honors, Advanced Placement and dual credit courses. Our students graduate and are accepted into prestigious colleges and universities all around the country. Our students learn and work together in a diverse educational community. Our low student-to-teacher ratio allows our students to be confident and competent.

ATHLETIC TEAMS We have several opportunities for students to participate in athletics at CCS. Our athletics program strives to grow and nurture Christ-minded athletes. CCS offers soccer, golf, cross country, archery, volleyball, basketball, swimming, cheer-leading, baseball, softball, track and tennis to our middle and high school students. We also offer intramural sports for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Our program is affiliated with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), the Kentucky Christian Athletic Conference (KCAC) and the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference (NKAC).

Our Performing Arts Program offers a wide variety of

opportunities for our students from elementary through high school. Our students learn to perform with their voices, instruments, acting, dancing and other God-given talents. Each year there are several vocal and instrumental concerts, musicals, etc. where students showcase their talents. Instrumental opportunities include concert band, pep band, guitar lessons and piano lessons. Vocal opportunities include a select singing group (Sounds of Praise), yearly musicals, choir, and voice lessons. We also offer an art program that assists with set creation and design for school musicals.

FOR LIFE We believe tuition is an investment into your child’s future. While attending CCS, your child will experience spiritual, academic, emotional and physical growth. Graduates leave our school prepared and confident, ready to handle the challenges of the world. CCS does not accept any funding from the state or federal government. We operate on tuition dollars, fundraisers and donations from our generous constituents. The tuition that we offer is significantly less than other Christian schools in the Cincinnati area. Tuition Assistance is available upon application and approval.

SERVING THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA We are located in Covington, Kentucky just south of Cincinnati. Our convenient location allows us to serve the Tri-State Area. We have families, teachers and staff that commute to CCS from Crittenden, Bethel, Amelia, Independence, Colerain, Covington, Dry Ridge and more.

CHILDCARE We realize that parents work during the typical 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. time frame. To assist you with your schedule, CCS offers extended childcare from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The E.C.C. program includes a snack, supervised study time and limited recreation activities. This program follows the CCS school calendar and observes the same days off and holidays. There is no E.C.C. on half days throughout the school year.

Come and see what CCS has to offer. There are 3 different ways you can experience CCS!

1. We offer a flexible tour schedule and we would love to show you our campus. 2. If your child would like to sit in during classes, shadow days are available for grades 1st - 12th. 3. Throughout the school year, we have 3 Open Houses. To learn more about these opportunities, please e-mail rachel.cornell@ccsky.org.
