Got workplace charging on your mind? Wondering which employers have been successful? What are the benefits? How to overcome challenges? Thinking about how to make it possible for your company or organization? CALSTART has the answers at the CALSTART - Google Workplace Charging: Filling a Critical Infrastructure Gap Workshop, July 31, at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California. The Workshop is bringing together employers, policy makers, infrastructure providers, building owners, building landlords, OEMs and other key stakeholders to discuss a wide range of topics on charging the workplace. This one-day interactive workshop will discuss how employers can support PEV market acceptance, and join the campaign to improve air quality, prevent climate change and reduce dependence on oil. Register for the Workshop by July 27 at www.calstart.org. For workshop questions, contact Susan Romeo at sromeo@calstart.org. For questions about CALSTART's workplace charging program, contact Jasna Tomic at jtomic@calstart.org. In this issue

On June 25, CALSTART unveiled an 84.5kilowatt solar array at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The solar project, which includes US-made panels placed over the parking lot and on the roof at CALSTART headquarters, provides enough electricity to meet 90 percent of the organization’s needs, including charging employees’ electric cars. “Instead of relying on OPEC, the sun is now providing power to meet the needs of our building, and a decent portion of our employees’ commute energy,” said CALSTART President and CEO, John Boesel.
