Did you ever think about creating a machine? Or have you tried building something out of random objects as a child even though they never worked out. I remember I did haha. Though, those experiences has really helped me as I grew older. Those experiences have made me more INNOVATIVE
But what exactly does it mean to be innovative? From what I have learned in school, Innovation simply means to create something new. Finding answers to questions, solutions to problems. To put it simply, or in my own words, innovation means to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! However, there are many people who find innovation hard to do at times. Whenever they generate ideas, they may often find it difficult to push through it.
Thinking outside the box may be difficult. I sometimes find it draining just by generating few ideas for some of my artworks. But in order to beat that struggle, the only thing to really do is push forward! Don 't spend too much time thinking if things will work out in the end or not. If you are determined, things will eventually fall into place:)
How exactly did studio Ghibli come up with such innovative concepts in their works? Studio Ghibli has a very wide variety when it comes to designing.
The character design of Studio Ghibli also makes their work insanely good! I have seen so much people drawing different characters draw in Studio Ghibli ' s style. This just proves how much of an impact they have created on their viewers. One of the films, The wind Rises, incorporates the use of mouth sounds for some of their effects! (If ever you do end up watching the film, listen closely and you 'll definitely hear them hihi). Those are just some of the innovations they have made in their works. Most of them combine realistic and unrealistic elements which makes a lot of their designs very memorable such as Howl' s castle. Besides that, the way they combine both digital and traditional illustrations really make their works come to life.
Activities
We have come up with a few activities you can do during your free time to help improve your creativity skills both in drawing and writing! Keep in mind that you will be applying the value of innovation in these activities. Remember THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX and most importantly HAVE FUN!
