The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.
Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Programme
Public programmes that fund the specific call for proposals, according to specific policy objectives, and accompanied by specific working plans, financial regulations, etc.
Administration
Administrations, Institutions and/or Agencies, committed to the implementation of the programmes and funding of coherent initiatives and projects according to the single ongoing call for projects.
Objective
Public calls for projects generally include the general and specific objectives to be achieved by the funded initiatives. Objectives are coherent with the general ones defined by the funding programmes.
Eligible Activities
Projects are expected to be implemented through types of activities identified as eligible to public funding. In many cases, calls also list activitities and connected costs not eligible to public funding from a specific European programme.
Eligible Applicants
Entities eligible to apply for funding can be physical or legal persons. Legal persons can include public and/or private entities. In many cases, calls require applicants to form partnerships or legal consortia, with specific conditions for lead applicans, applicants and associate entities.

Objective
The IoT-NGIN (Next Generation IoT as part of Next Generation Internet) is a project funded under the H2020 framework. Its strategic objective is to unleash the power of Next Generation IoT as an essential dimension of the Next Generation Internet (NGI) and become the “IoT Engine” that fuels that transition to an Intelligent Internet of Everything. The objective of the IoT-NGIN – Open Call #1 is to expand IoT-NGIN consortium with IoT devices manufacturers, embedded software and FPGA/soft core partners to offer a) open interfaces and access to their IoT systems or b) embed IoT software components running on FPGA/soft cores. All IoT-NGIN developments will become available as Open Source (HW/SW) and will be validated/tested in 7 IoT-NGIN pilots/living lab by IoT-NGIN consortium and new participants via IoT-NGIN Open Call #2 (to be announced).
Eligible Activities
Open Call #1 will select at least 5 new partners, who will join the IoT-NGIN consortium in M19 (April 2022). Open Call #1 targets IoT devices manufacturers, embedded software and FPGA/soft core partners to join the IoT-NGIN consortium by offering a) open interfaces and access to their IoT systems or b) embed IoT software components running on FPGA/soft cores

Objective
This consortium will design, develop, deploy and operate a network of nodes (representing different data brokers, holders and data consumers) federated by central services that may be provided by the European Commission. This pilot will demonstrate and prove the value of an infrastructure and data ecosystem for the reuse of health data and assess the ability to scale towards a Union-wide infrastructure, as a core component of the European Health Data Space.
Eligible Activities
a) define and select, jointly with the provider of central services, key use cases (including necessary health datasets) that build on health data made available by the consortium partners to demonstrate added value of cross-country reuse of health data for policymaking, regulatory and research activities; b) elicit requirements (business, functional and non-functional) for an IT and data infrastructure (nodes and central services) to enable Union-wide reuse of health data; c) design, jointly with the provider of central services, the architecture and the specifications for the building blocks necessary for an IT infrastructure (nodes and central services) to enable Union-wide reuse of health data; d) develop, customise or integrate technology, jointly with the provider of central services, to fulfil the agreed requirements, architecture and specifications, as indicated in points a, b and c; e) deploy, at partner level, the nodes, in conformity with the design specifications, and connect them to both the national infrastructure and to the central services; f) run the selected use cases over the implemented IT infrastructure (validation of the process); g) assess the performance of the selected standards and technological building blocks used and their ability to scale towards a Union-wide infrastructure; h) provide feedback on legal and governance arrangements for efficient cross-border reuse of health data in the context of the pilot project.

Objective
The aim of the action is to increase awareness, knowledge sharing and capacity building in the area of mental health.
Eligible Activities
Activities will include the transfer of practices shared within the Health Policy Platform network on ‘COVID-19 mental health support’. The Commission has set up a dedicated space on ‘COVID19 mental health support’ within the Health Policy Platform. This allows interested stakeholder organisations to come together to discuss and exchange mental health practices and knowledge. Coordinated by Mental Health Europe, the group includes a focus on the needs of specific and/or vulnerable groups, including children and young people. In addition to exchanging practices, the network on ‘COVID-19 mental health support’ will increase awareness, knowledge sharing and support for health professionals’ training, including the development of necessary guidance and/or training material, such as video tutorials, manuals, etc.

The topic aims to provide local and regional authorities with the necessary capacity to deliver sustainable plans and strategies for the energy transition. To successfully support the achievement of energy and climate targets, transition strategies and plans need to be institutionalised, cross-sectoral and tailored to the level of innovation, ambition and specific geographic context of the involved authorities.
Eligible Activities
Actions should provide technical support to regional and local authorities and build their capacities to develop and monitor ambitious long-term clean energy transition plans/ strategies for 2030 and/or 2050. Actions should support regional and local authorities in particular in gaining technical, legal and social skills and resources required to deliver holistic, integrated and inclusive energy planning based on stakeholders' engagement and social innovations. Actions should seek to institutionalise integrated energy planning in local and regional authorities and implement a cross-sectoral approach to plan the energy transition. Actions should take into account the regulatory framework conditions, the social impact of plans and investigate new participatory policy models and planning instruments to involve and engage the civil society and a wider spectrum of stakeholders. Actions should support the establishment of new forms of participative governance structures to involve multiple stakeholders and citizens in the planning and implementation of the clean energy transition.

This topic aims to support actions that foster the collaboration between local and regional authorities and energy communities and/or actions that develop integrated services to facilitate the emergence and growth of community energy projects. The participation of citizens in renewable energy projects may also overcome social acceptance at the local level. Community-owned projects allow citizens to finance sustainable energy investments that deliver local economic benefits, social cohesion, and other priorities such as improving the energy efficiency of housing or reducing energy poverty.
Eligible Activities
This topic will support actions covering at least ONE of the scopes below: Scope A - Local authorities collaborating with citizen-led-initiatives Under this scope, proposals should foster the collaboration between local and regional authorities (including energy agencies) and energy communities. Scope B - Developing integrated services to support community energy Under this scope, proposals should support actions that improve market conditions and develop integrated services aimed at reducing complexity, simplifying decision making and stimulating the creation of community energy projects.

Eligible Activities
The geographical coverage and acquisition of long time series of in-situ observation of the various components of the Earth’s systems should be improved in order to ensure a proper monitoring and modelling of the environmental processes. This is recognised in the context of the Copernicus programme, by the GOOS 2030 Strategy, and was reiterated at global level at the GEO Ministerial Summit[3] in November 2019 in the Canberra Ministerial Declaration[4]. This topic is intended to support innovative technological solutions building on cutting-edge technologies in the domain of measurement and testing, big data and ICT to acquire necessary parameters from in-situ measurements required to ensure an integrated monitoring and model data assimilation necessary to respond to the climate transition and the European Green Deal challenges. This call covers marine and/or terrestrial measurements in hard-to-reach areas or areas with extreme physical conditions such as the polar regions, the tropical regions and desert regions, the deep-sea, and the high-altitude regions where the lack of in-situ data makes global assessment and mitigation of climate change effects very challenging. Proposals could also address geographical and high temporal resolution gaps in observations such as the real-time monitoring of aeroallergens or other atmospheric aerosols affecting health.

The cross-cutting objective of modernising the sector by fostering and sharing of knowledge, innovation and digitalisation in agriculture and rural areas, and encouraging their uptake[1], as well as contributing to the European Green deal and farm to fork objectives. Examples are climate issues, pesticide use, water use and pollution, short supply chains linking to the consumer, farm viability, animal welfare, generational renewal, etc. The collection and distribution of easily accessible practice-oriented knowledge on the thematic area chosen, in particular the existing best practices and research findings that are ready to be put into practice, but not sufficiently known or used by practitioners. Build on the experience and outcomes of at least 5 EIP-AGRI Operational Groups of at least 3 Member States and choose a common theme related to the themes of the 5 Operational Group projects. Projects should tackle the most urgent needs of farmers and foresters. Collect, summarise, share and translate the existing knowledge from science and practice, resulting from the EIP-AGRI Operational Groups and beyond, in an easy-to-understand language for practitioners. Compile a comprehensive description of the state of current farming practices on the chosen theme to explain the added value of the proposal and the relevance of the theme. Proposals must focus on the cost/benefit aspects of the practices collected and summarised, and clarify how the project avoids duplication with ongoing or completed projects and networks. Deliver an extensive range of useful, applicable and appealing end-user material for farmers and foresters. This info should be easy to access and understand, and feed into the existing dissemination channels most consulted by farmers and foresters in the countries.

to support the development and uptake of multi-use between marine renewable energies (especially emerging ones such as wave, tidal and floating wind) and other blue economy activities and/or with nature protection (e.g. marine protected areas).
Eligible Activities
Projects will advance multi-use, integrated offshore renewable energy solutions towards the commercial phase. Activities will vary depending on the maturity of the multiuse concept targeted in the proposal. In their proposals, applicants will describe clearly the chosen concept and its maturity level and the relevant activities they will implement to develop the solutions. Applicants should explain in their proposal how the proposed solutions build on the results of, or will exploit synergies with, relevant EU and other projects and initiatives in the area of multi-use solutions including offshore renewable energy. Those projects include the ones reviewed in a recent technical background study published by the Commission: MULTIFRAME, UNITED, MUSICA, MARIBE, MERMAID, TROPOS, MUSES, Space@Sea, Edulis, Wier&Wind, ORECCA, H2OCEAN and CO-EXIST. Proposals focusing on early stage concepts will include activities to develop the concept and business case. These will include: – Cost-benefit analysis, market study, business planning, identifying investors. – Forming partnerships between business, investors, authorities, environmental organisations and other stakeholders, e.g. through matchmaking activities. – Identification of sites and preparatory activities for licensing/consenting applications.
Eligible Applicants
Minimum two entities from two different eligible EU Member States participating in the Atlantic Maritime Strategy; and At least one for-profit, private-sector business entity in the offshore renewable energy sector. The coordinator must be established in an EU Member State participating in the Atlantic Maritime Strategy (France, Ireland, Portugal and Spain).

Objective
to encourage the development of new, innovative, high-level integrated transnational study programmes at Master level. Objective
The Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) action supports international cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between organisations active in the field of higher education. It supports the relevance, quality, modernisation and responsiveness of higher education in third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme for socio-economic recovery, growth and prosperity and reacting to recent trends, in particular economic globalisation but also the recent decline in human development, fragility, and rising social, economic and environmental inequalities exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eligible Activities
Projects under this Strand shall support efforts in third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme to develop coherent and sustainable systems of higher education to meet their socioeconomic needs and broad ambition to create a knowledge-driven economy. Mainstreaming and upscaling of successful results as well as synergies with ongoing or pipeline support in the area under bilateral support programmes are also elements of this Strand. Structural Reform projects will address the needs of eligible third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme to support sustainable systemic and structural improvement and innovation at the level of the higher education sector. More specifically, these projects will address the efforts of countries to develop coherent and sustainable systems of Higher Education to meet their socio-economic needs and ultimately create a knowledge-driven economy. By involving the competent National Authorities (notably Ministries of Education) of third countries not associated to the programme, HEIs, Research institutions and other relevant authorities/bodies and stakeholders, these projects will particularly: Promote cooperation and mutual learning among and between public authorities at the highest institutional level of the EU Member states or countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme and the eligible third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme to foster systemic improvement and innovation in the higher education sector. Promote inclusive higher education systems that can provide the right conditions for students of different backgrounds to access learning and succeed. Particular attention should therefore be paid to people with fewer opportunities. Increase the capacities of HEIs of third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme, bodies in charge of higher education and competent authorities (notably Ministries) through their participation in the definition, implementation and monitoring of reform processes to modernise their higher education systems, particularly in terms of governance and financing; Identify synergies with ongoing EU initiatives in the third country(ies) not associated to the programme in areas covered by Erasmus+

Objective
develop social support mechanisms that will support female students and students living in vulnerable situations to access, remain and complete secondary school
Eligible Activities
Intervention that will reduce drop-outs and improve retention, grades achievement and learning outcomes. The project should focus on creating safe schools that should retain girls and vulnerable students by ensuring the establishment of SGBV reporting mechanisms, formation of supportive peer-counselling structures and building of capacity of the female targeted students in life skills, gender based violence, sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and menstrual hygiene management (MHM). Bursary: the projects should develop comprehensive packages for provision of bursary support. This includes an establishment of sound criteria based on which the grantees of bursaries will be identified, amount of bursaries and a way of multi-annual distribution of these resources. The bursaries should cover the 4 years of secondary school for a given student or at least ensure that each beneficiary is accompanied until the end of the cycle
