The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.
Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Our ambition is to serve as a technical resource center. We want to serve primarily those that usually work on writing applications and
managing projects through European funding. Call them “Euro-drafters” or “Euro-experts”: in any case, their activity demands high specialization and a constant updating on European policies, programs and public calls. Our service is intended for them but also for any private, public and not-for-profit organization interested to European programmes and funds.
If you want more information on our services, please drop a line at call4europe@gmail.com visit us at https://call-for-europe.org subscribe to our newsletter at https://www.call-for-europe.org/newsletter

Hello readers! In the 31th October 2021 edition, our weekly monitor reached 343 new calls recently opened by European Institutions and Agencies. This week we monitored a call under Erasmus+ for promoting Civil Society among young people; a new call from the EU Innovation Fund for scaling projects; a new big call for designing a European Knowledge Community (KIC) on Creative and Cultural Industries (ICC) across Europe. Besides, a lot of new calls have been recently issued under Horizon Europe Programme. We included all of them in our general list, promising to examine in our Synopses in the next weeks.

Energy, Environment and Climate Change
Addressing building related interventions for vulnerable districts
call synopsis Programme
LIFE Programme
Administration
CINEA
Objective
The topic aims to alleviate energy poverty by addressing the poor energy efficiency of dwellings, as a key risk factor causing energy poverty (the other two being low incomes and high energy expenditure). Buildings are still responsible for 40% of Europe’s total energy consumption, and too many Europeans struggle to afford the energy bills for their poorly insulated dwellings with polluting heating/cooling systems. In accordance with the Clean Energy for All Europeans package, Member States, through their National Energy and Climate Plans and Long-Term Renovation Strategies (LTRS), must identify dwellings of people at risk of energy poverty and develop effective strategies for renovating these as a matter of priority. The Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU) (EED), as amended by Directive 2018/2002/EU, requires Member States to take into account the need to reduce energy poverty in the context of their energy efficiency obligations. In addition, the revised EPBD requires Member States to target the least efficient building stock first (“worst first” principle), and address split-incentive dilemmas and market failures as part of the national LTRS.
Eligible Activities
Proposed actions should facilitate the market uptake of renovation approaches for the large-scale rollout of building-related interventions for vulnerable districts, clusters of buildings, or groups of such buildings managed through common building management or housing/home-owners associations (e.g. social housing), in line with the Renovation Wave and the Commission Recommendation on Energy Poverty.
Eligible Applicants
In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must: be legal entities (public or private bodies); be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.: - EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs)); - non-EU countries: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the LIFE Programme
