The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.
Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Programme
Public programmes that fund the specific call for proposals, according to specific policy objectives, and accompanied by specific working plans, financial regulations, etc.
Administration
Administrations, Institutions and/or Agencies, committed to the implementation of the programmes and funding of coherent initiatives and projects according to the single ongoing call for projects.
Objective
Public calls for projects generally include the general and specific objectives to be achieved by the funded initiatives. Objectives are coherent with the general ones defined by the funding programmes.
Eligible Activities
Projects are expected to be implemented through types of activities identified as eligible to public funding. In many cases, calls also list activitities and connected costs not eligible to public funding from a specific European programme.
Eligible Applicants
Entities eligible to apply for funding can be physical or legal persons. Legal persons can include public and/or private entities. In many cases, calls require applicants to form partnerships or legal consortia, with specific conditions for lead applicans, applicants and associate entities.

Objective
Projects’ results are expected to contribute to some or all of the following outcomes: European Police Authorities are provided with modern, innovative and validated tools and training curricula, which take into account legal and ethical rules of operation as well as fundamental rights such as privacy and protection of personal data to prevent, detect and investigate online identity theft, and lawfully collect crime evidence across borders for its use in court proceedings; Strengthened ability of security practitioners to identify (new forms of) online identity theft at an early stage thanks to improved knowledge on the modus operandi and new trends in identity theft, including but not limited to deepfakes, and innovative solutions for Police Authorities to tackle them in lawful manner; Improved understanding on the societal aspects and impacts of identity theft, as well as on the key challenges related to it; Enhanced perception by the citizens that Europe is an area of freedom, justice and security thanks to innovative awareness-raising campaigns explaining to citizens the key and evolving mechanisms of identity theft and how to protect against them; Improved shaping and implementation of regulation related to the fight against identity theft by security policy-makers.
Eligible Activities
Research is needed to develop new technological means of detecting deepfakes in support of the work of Police Authorities, as it may only be a matter of time before deepfakes are used more often in online identity theft cases. In addition, this can have serious implications for Police Authorities, since it might complicate investigations and raise questions about the authenticity of evidence. The issue of collecting (crossborder) evidence for its use in courts of law, i.e. in a lawful manner and respecting fundamental rights such as privacy and protection of personal data, should be tackled in proposed activities as well. Activities proposed within this topic should address both the technological and societal dimensions of online identity theft in a balanced way.

This topic requires the active involvement, as beneficiaries, of at least 3 Police Authoritiesfrom at least 3 different EU Member States or Associated countries.

Objective
The objective is the preparation of Strategic Nature Projects (SNAPs). SNAPS projects (1) aim at the implementation of: - Prioritised Action Frameworks (PAF) and/or - Other plans or strategies adopted at international, national, regional or multiregional level by nature and biodiversity authorities, that implement EU nature and/or biodiversity policy or legislation, (2) at large territorial scale (3) with the involvement of all concerned stakeholders (4) and include a coordination mechanism for funding supporting complementary measures necessary for the full implementation of the targeted PAF (or other eligible strategy).
Eligible Activities
Activities may include (this is not an exhaustive list): recruitment of new personnel and training for writing a SNAP proposal; contracting external assistance for writing a SNAP proposal; information collection for the preparation of a SNAP proposal (e.g. on sources of funding) networking, consultation and coordination work for preparing, writing and implementing the SNAP; coordination with stakeholders to be involved in the Strategic Nature Project; developing financing plans where such plans are not already part of the targeted PAF, action plan or strategy; mapping of the actions complementary to SNAP and their potential sources of funding writing of the SNAP full proposal or concept note and full proposal itself.

Objective
Launched in 2011, the BUILD UP Skills initiative is supporting the upskilling of building professionals across Europe, to deliver building renovations offering high-energy performance as well as new Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings. This topic aims to facilitate the rebooting of the National Qualification Platforms, Status Quo Analyses and National Roadmaps developed under the first phase of BUILD UP Skills (2011-2012, ‘Pillar I’), to ensure alignment with the EU 2030 energy targets. The first objective is to support the revitalisation of the National Platforms created in the first phase of the BUILD UP Skills initiative (2011-2012), gathering all key national stakeholders. Since the first platforms were established ten years ago, projects should aiming at expanding their scope by involving new stakeholders. As a second objective, the rebooted National Platforms should update the Status Quo Analyses and National Roadmaps to reflect the new realities of the building sector. This should be done by addressing the necessary skills development activities related to e.g. digital technologies, smart buildings including e-mobility, resource efficiency, circularity, integration of renewable energy technologies, heating and cooling, industrialised deep renovation, Life Cycle Carbon Assessments, etc., while taking into account the wider EU recovery context.
Eligible Activities
Proposals submitted under this topic should be supportive of the work done within the European Construction Blueprint, which focuses on vocational education and training primarily for ’blue-collar’ professionals (targeting a level up to 5 in the European Qualification Framework). The focus of this topic is on all relevant skills needed to enable the Clean Energy Transition, in particular the EU Renovation Wave, the mainstreaming of NZEBs, and the inclusion of resource efficiency considerations.

Objective
This topic thus aims to support actions that complement and inform existing assessments and strategies on cooling, notably through a bottom-up analysis and taking into account local factors. Moreover, the topic aims to support approaches and activities that will contribute to ensuring that integrated cooling solutions are considered in public and private decision-making, planning, design and implementation processes.
Eligible Activities
Actions under this topic should, through a bottom-up approach, complement existing assessments, roadmaps and strategies, starting from the local context while deriving meaningful conclusions for the national and European level. For example, it should give insights into the typical potentials, conditions and use patterns for sustainable heating and cooling in a local context, which would be an important aspect for Member States’ reporting, notably under the National Climate and Energy Plans (NECPs) and for the Comprehensive assessments under Article 14 of the Energy Efficiency Directive.

Objective
The EUAF Programme pursues the general objective to protect the EU financial interests. To achieve this general objective, the EUAF sets a specific objective to prevent and combat fraud, corruption and any other illegal activities affecting the EU financial interests. The EUAF Programme aims to reinforce the investigative capability and capacity of national authorities (including their digitalisation), in view of stepping up the fight against fraud, corruption and any other illegal activity affecting the EU financial interests, on both the revenue and expenditure sides.
Eligible Activities
purchase and maintenance of investigation and surveillance equipment and methods used by beneficiaries in the fight against irregularities, fraud and corruption detrimental to the EU financial interests; the purchase of adapted transport equipment, IT hard- and soft-ware and audio-visual equipment may be included, provided an applicant clearly demonstrates that the purchase contributes to the achievement of the first specific objective of the UAFP; specialised training to enable staff to operate these tools has to be planned as part of the action

Objective
Volunteering Teams in high priority areas are large scale, high impact projects supporting voluntary activities carried out by young people from at least two different countries coming together to express solidarity by implementing short-term interventions that address common European challenges in policy areas defined each year at EU level. This year’s priority is focused on COVID-19 impact and recovery, particularly through supporting the health and social care systems with activities tackling prevention, promotion and support in the field of health; addressing major health challenges (i.e. life-threatening illnesses like cancer) and promoting health, healthy lifestyle, physical activity and well-being overall. For the purpose of this call, applications for funding could: contribute to the improvement of health and well-being of vulnerable people, including persons affected by chronic or life-threatening diseases (e.g. cancer); contribute to building inclusive societies through protecting vulnerable groups as people with drug-alcohol dependence, elderly and children, migrants, homeless etc. from COVID-19 impact and other diseases
Eligible Activities
Volunteering Teams are solidarity activities that allow groups of minimum 5 participants to volunteer together for a period between 2 weeks and 2 months. Composition of the team should be international (including participants from at least two different countries) with at least a quarter of team members coming from countries that are different from the country where the activity takes place. In volunteering teams, European Solidarity Corps’ volunteers carry out tasks for a project over a short period of time (usually, but not exclusively, during holidays, breaks between study periods, transition from education to work, etc.). Examples of the valuable work that can be accomplished by volunteering teams under this Action include: organising information campaigns, providing critical community services to most vulnerable populations e.g. arranging grocery shopping for elderly, organizing recreational activities for children with cancer, intergenerational workshops on use of online tools for socialising and communicating, supporting vaccination campaigns. In Volunteering Teams, volunteers will carry out the activity in a group. This can be an incentive for youngsters who do not feel ready to embark into challenging experiences on their own; The activity will be shorter in its duration. This can foster the participation of those youngsters who cannot commit for a long period of time because of their studies or jobs, but still want to be of help for the community.
Eligible Applicants
Any organisation legally established in a programme country or a partner country neighbouring the EU that holds a valid volunteering Quality Label or Erasmus+ volunteering accreditation. Participating organisations must hold a valid volunteering Quality Label or Erasmus+ volunteering accreditation at the latest at the start of the activities they are involved in and during the entire duration of the activities.

Objective
The Creative Innovation Lab shall incentivise players from different cultural and creative sectors to design and test innovative digital solutions with a potential positive long-term impact on multiple cultural and creative sectors. The Lab shall facilitate the creation of innovative solutions (e.g. tools, models and methodologies) that can apply to the audiovisual sector and at least another creative and/or cultural sector.
Eligible Activities
Design, development and testing of innovative tools, models and solutions applicable in the audiovisual and other cultural and creative sectors. Activities shall aims at supporting the competitiveness, cooperation, circulation, visibility, availability, diversity and increasing audience across sectors. Such activities shall contain a high potential of replicability in audiovisual and other cultural and creative sectors. The projects can focus in particular on: Rights’ management and monetisation, including transparency and fair remuneration; Data collection and analysis, with particular emphasis on prediction for content creation and audience development; Greening of the value chain across the creative and cultural sectors, including actions that contribute to the European Bauhaus project; Innovative educational tools and content using creativity and creative sectors to tackle societal issues such as misinformation, fake news etc.
