The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.
Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Our ambition is to serve as a technical resource center. We want to serve primarily those that usually work on writing applications and
managing projects through European funding. Call them “Euro-drafters” or “Euro-experts”: in any case, their activity demands high specialization and a constant updating on European policies, programs and public calls. Hello readers! In the 20th of November 2022 edition, we commented various EU calls published during the current week. The Creative Europe Programme issued two big calls in the field of creativity and culture promotion in the European Union. A call is aimed at promoting and disseminating cultural projects at various levels (small-scale, medium-scale, large-scale actions) to be conducted by consortia throughout Europe. Literaly works can be translated promoting their circulation thanks to funds offered by another Creative Programme. Digital Europe Programme is to fund a big 8M€ project aimed at creating big data common spaces promoting security and data protection. Elise project consortium supports SMEs willing to take part to experimentations on development and implementation of technology and systems in Machine Learning fields. Tourism SMes are funded for experimenting innovation in their services through digital platforms. Industrial relations and social dialogue are promoted by a European Commission yearly funding call. This EIC Accelerator Challenge identifies the following set of key strategic areas and corresponding specific objectives for which highly innovative start-ups and SMEs are invited to propose new technologies, pioneering solutions and breakthrough innovations: Components, technologies and systems for the pharmaceutical industry; Strategic healthcare technologies building on Europe’s research strengths in cell and gene therapies; Sustainable and innovative approaches, including circular approaches to critical raw materials (CRM); New applications of quantum technologies on the ground and in space building on Europe’s research strengths; Edge computing applications; Innovative applications making use of data and signals from EU space infrastructures; Development of space technologies; Critical security technologies for secure communication, data security and protection of borders; Technologies for innovative financial and payment infrastructures and services supporting the development of panEuropean payment solutions
Eligible Activities
The expected impact of this Challenge is a significant reduction of the European dependency on other regions for deep-tech innovations and services of EU key strategic interest, and consequently strengthening of European competitiveness, security and open strategic autonomy. Applications to this EIC Accelerator Challenge may request an investment component of above EUR 15 million in duly justified cases.

Objective
During the past years and within the scope of the S2R freight innovation pillar (IP5), the sector has been working on the freight Digital Automatic Coupler (DAC). This solution, in addition to the mechanical and pneumatic coupling, will integrate digital communications and energy for the rail freight segment. DAC is an enabler that will enhance the performance and safety of rail freight as it will eliminate manual interventions and, by transmitting data and power through the freight train consist, it will allow addressing the operational gaps to increase the competitiveness of rail freight.
Eligible Activities
The coordinated support action will work under the framework of the EDDP and support the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking in the implementation (and preparation for migration) of DAC throughout Europe with professional skills able to manage industrial complex projects and successfully achieve the expected outcomes described above.

Objective
New guided ultra-high speed transport systems based on magnetic levitation and with “capsules” movement inside a vacuum tube are currently emerging. To analyse the feasibility of this type of transport, not only the technical issues must be resolved, but also those related to the economic viability, system operations, safety and acceptance of this new type of transport. Current economic analysis for this type of systems have not been based on a full scale demonstration, that is key to deliver an operational concept and thereof a realistic evaluation of the feasibility of operational business models, as well as paths for testing, certification, deployment, and full market adoption. Additionally, the implementation of the innovative solutions and the estimation of the real capacity of such transport mode rely on the safety requirements/analysis of the system as well as investigation on the future applicable traffic control systems and sensoring techniques.
Eligible Activities
The activities to be performed under this work stream are expected to deliver an Industrial roadmap, reflecting relevant parties such as developers, engineering and design&build companies and operators, covering all the steps and milestones needed to the increase of technological readiness level up to TRL 9. It should address in addition also all industrialisation steps, including system/subsystems qualifications and validations steps, for the commercial implementation of such technology at scale. The roadmap should be accompanied by an analysis on the main risks and challenges to deploy hyperloop solution onto the market, resulting on a proposed mitigation plans to be incorporated in the industrial roadmap. It shall be supported by a social-economic Business Case analysis, that would include feasibility studies and use cases.

Copernicus is producing increasingly large data volumes that require specific Big Data technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to analyse it and manage it. The adoption of Big Data and AI technologies in the space industry represents a significant opportunity to innovate, following industrial requirements to better respond to well identified user needs. Moreover, the data infrastructures offering archiving and distribution services for Earth Observation data, including Copernicus, are often data silos that offer today limited discoverability, querying and linking possibilities. The full exploitation of the archives and data stores require specialized Artificial Intelligence technologies, Linked Open Data paradigms and semantic archives able to scale to the full archives data volumes. Enhancing those cloud infrastructures with technological paradigms that are now typical of other data intensive domains (such as multimedia), will contribute to facilitate the development of new products and services with earth observation data at their core, and connect earth observation data to European Data Spaces. As such, this call is promoting the collaboration of ICT actors, both from industry and academia, with the earth observation/space stakeholders and Copernicus users.

Objective
MSCA Staff Exchanges promote innovative international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation through exchanging staff and sharing knowledge and ideas at all stages of the innovation chain. The scheme fosters a shared culture of research and innovation that welcomes and rewards creativity and entrepreneurship and helps turn ideas into innovative products, services or processes. It is open to research, technical, administrative and managerial staff supporting R&I activities.
Eligible Activities
MSCA Staff Exchanges involve organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors (including SMEs) from across the globe. Support is provided for international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of R&I staff leading to knowledge transfer between participating organisations. Mobility through secondments: The organisations constituting the partnership contribute directly to the implementation of a joint R&I project by seconding and/or hosting eligible staff members. Such a project must explore activities that can be based on previous work but should go beyond and generate or strengthen long-term collaborations. Secondments must always take place between legal entities independent from each other. MSCA Staff Exchanges can address three dimensions of mobility: inter-sectoral, international and interdisciplinary[1]. While exchanges between organisations within EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries should mainly be inter-sectoral, same-sector exchanges[2] are also possible under the condition that they are interdisciplinary. Interdisciplinarity is not required for same-sector exchanges with non-associated Third Countries. Skills’ development: For participating staff members, the project should offer new skills acquisition and career development perspectives. Participating organisations must ensure that the seconded staff are adequately mentored.

Objective
To green the processes and activities of SMEs in the social economy by boosting the development of sustainable practices through capacity building, knowledge transfer and transnational cooperation. In doing so, this call for proposals aims at empowering social economy SMEs to deliver on the objectives set by the EU Green Deal by fostering their capacities and skills, improving their sustainable management and greening their operations.
Eligible Activities
Activity 1) Organisation of transnational capacity building activities (e.g. targeted online and onsite trainings, peer-learning sessions and awareness raisingactivities) bringing together different partners and stakeholders; Activity 2) Organisation of coaching, mentoring (e.g. job shadowing, social intrapreneurship programs) and business support activities (e.g.incubation and scaling-up support) targeting social economy SMEs and entrepreneurs; Activity 3) Delivering capacity building through advisory services to support social economy SMEs and entrepreneurs in identifying and implementing sustainable changes (e.g. mapping funding opportunities, support to obtain certification on labels and develop local green markets, advice on how to gather data and communicate about sustainable performance); Activity 4) Providing financial support to the SMEs

Objective
this call topic will provide support for applicants wishing to establish new deep institutional transnational cooperation in a new ‘European Universities’ alliance
Eligible Activities
Applicants can submit a proposal that aims either to support existing alliances (Topic 1 of the action) or to set-up new alliances (Topic 2 of the action) going beyond any existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, through a step-by-step approach towards deeper institutionalised transnational cooperation and gradually achieving the long-term ambitious vision for European Universities. This action will test different innovative and structural models for implementing and achieving the long-term vision that has the potential to transform the institutional cooperation between higher education institutions and bring it to the next level. They will have the possibility to associate academic and nonacademic partners from the world of work and to grow at a later stage.
Eligible Applicants
Higher Education Institutions holding a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and entities affiliated to them. Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least 3 applicants (beneficiaries not affiliated entities), which complies with the following conditions: - Minimum 3 eligible higher education institutions from 3 different eligible countries. - A higher education institution may participate as full partner in only one European Universities alliance funded by the Erasmus+ programme at the same time.

to promote European audiovisual works, including heritage works, and support the engagement and development of audiences of all ages, in particular young audiences, across Europe and beyond.
Eligible Activities
Projects ensuring pan-European cooperation and providing innovative projects, especially using new digital tools aiming at: - increasing interest and knowledge of audiences in European films and audiovisual works including specific programmes on film heritage, - increasing pan-European impact and audience outreach, - promoting and increase the contribution that existing European films and audiovisual works, including curated catalogues of films, make towards audience development, film education and film literacy.
