The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.
Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Our ambition is to serve as a technical resource center. We want to serve primarily those that usually work on writing applications and
managing projects through European funding. Call them “Euro-drafters” or “Euro-experts”: in any case, their activity demands high specialization and a constant updating on European policies, programs and public calls. Hello readers! In the 12th of June 2022 edition, a new series of funding calls from the European Institutions and Agencies has been issued. Under the Erasmus+ Programme, 2 new funding calls have been opened for promoting Europe-wide networks on education, in partircular on dissemination and information on good practices concerning teachers and school leaders in the context of the European Education Area and on high-quality inclusive education of children and young people with a migrant background. Under the Creative Europe Programme, 2 new calls are expected to fund initiatives for defending in Europe media freedom and pluralism, by strengthening the position of press and media councils and reinforcing deontological standards, and providing practical help to protect journalists under threat, enabling them to continue pursuing their professional activities. The European Parliament offers three funding calls for promoting engagement and awareness of European citizens as change-makers in the European Elections on 2024. Under the Horizon Europe Programme, 5 other funding calls have been monitored for promoting competitive initiatives for innovation and research. 4 new funding calls have been monitored under the EuropeAID Programme. Objective
The European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN) invites Data partners in Europe to apply for funding to map their health data to the OMOP common data model (CDM). The ambitions of the EHDEN project are high. We aim to standardise more than 100 million patient records across Europe from different geographic areas and different data sources. Mapping of such data to the OMOP CDM will facilitate their use for a variety of purposes, enhancing and accelerating research and healthcare decision-making for global benefit.
Eligible Activities
1) Knowledge Transfer Experiments (KTE), which comprise a novel type of internship experiments allowing smaller projects, or less mature ideas to be presented, tested and thus potentially find the fertile ground to grow and reveal its product potentials; 2) Focused Technology Transfer Experiments (FTTEs), focusing on one of the four defined underrepresented areas, will give the opportunity to form synergies, accelerate product orient projects and offer guidance towards successful commercialisation; 3) Cross-domain Technology Transfer Experiments (CTTEs), targeting more complex multidisciplinary transfers and productization of novel CLEC CPS and the IoT technologies to wider markets.

Objective
In this Interoperable-by-Design Prototypes Open Call, InterConnect is looking for Bottom-up projects that will develop and test novel Interoperable applications or services for smart homes and grids, with a clear societal and economic value, on top of the InterConnect’s Interoperability Framework. These highly innovative projects should aim to build a more comfortable and healthier living space at lower costs and enable their active participation in the energy system and market.
Eligible Activities
Challenge A - Semantic Interoperability for smart homes and buildings: Solutions focused on building semantically interoperable services and ecosystems between different energy and non-energy systems within a building. Challenge B - Interoperable services for Demand Side Flexibility: Solutions focused on demand side flexibility and its cross-domain dimensions. Challenge C - Semantically Interoperable services for Smart grids and energy communities: Solutions focused more towards wider energy systems and energy communities. Challenge D - Semantically interoperable services for electric mobility: Solutions focused on EVs and charging stations. Challenge E - Semantically Interoperable services for energy marketplaces and incentive mechanisms: Solutions focused on the business dimension of the energy and crossdomain challenges.

Objective
The EU Prize for Women Innovators celebrates the women entrepreneurs4 behind gamechanging innovations. In doing so, the EU seeks to raise awareness of the need for more women innovators, and create role models for women and girls everywhere. The Prize is awarded to the women innovators who have created the largest impact on the innovation ecosystem by transforming ideas into new and advanced products and/or services to benefit people and planet. The prizes will boost public awareness of the potential, importance and contribution of women to the EU innovation ecosystem, and create role models, inspiring more women to become innovators themselves.
Eligible Activities
In the ‘Rising Innovators’ category, three prizes of EUR 50 000 are awarded to the three highest-ranked applications from promising ‘Rising Innovators’ under the age of 35.5

Projects results are expected to contribute to all of the following expected outcomes: regions and communities have been involved in development and testing of a whole range of transformative solutions climate resilience solutions have been developed, tested and brought closer to the market
Eligible Activities
In line with the Mission objective to build systemic climate resilience, the proposal should address the multi-risks locally identified as climate vulnerability, addressing in a systemic approach one or more of the systems identified as key for climate resilience building in the Mission Implementation Plan Mission. For example, the proposed systemic solution could include one or more of the following: restoration of ecosystems and the establishment of ecological corridors, taking into account also the benefits and trade-offs for biodiversity, in particular in relation to soil and coastal erosion; solutions to better manage water scarcity and mitigate the impacts of droughts or to better manage water flooding, such as greening of infrastructures, tree planting, increasing of permeable green surfaces, or river deculverting in cities, peatland, wetland and floodplain restoration; solutions for a more climate resilient agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture and forestry as well as climate resilient food systems, such as culture rotation, silvo-pasture and other agroecology approaches in farmland, in particular in relation to droughts and water multi-usage and management; solutions for building and/ or managing new critical infrastructure and/or upgrading existing ones through green/ blue/hybrid infrastructure, in particular in relation to climate-proofing it towards extreme events; climate-proofing the development of incentive schemes fostering efficient use and allocation of water and solutions to reduce the vulnerability to water-related risks; regeneration of public spaces to create climate resilient neighbourhoods, in particular in relation to heat-waves and flooding events and their potential risks for human health and well-being.

Projects results are expected to contribute to all of the following expected outcomes: Relevant economic sectors affected by climate change are transformed and ready to face the future anticipated climate changes risks; An increased and improved range of climate-resilient business models, value chains, and re-skilling opportunities (including training capabilities) are understood, socially acceptable and made available to all regions and communities; An increased capacity of local businesses, social partnerns and industries for sustainable coping with climate change; An increased capacity of national, regional and/or local governments, consumers organizations and other social partners, industries and businesses in empowering consumers to make informed choices and play active roles in transition to climate resilience; A better understanding of mechanisms that would drive transformation of the economic systems thanks to innovation, intended not only as technical innovation but also including social and user-driven innovation.
Eligible Activities
The support that the projects are to provide the regions and communities should include the following main aspects (further detailed below): To provide direct support to the regions and communities sharing relevant state-of-theart knowledge, best practices and emerging innovations and solutions relevant to the transformation of all regional economic systems that are affected by climate change in the regional economic systems to become climate resilient. To undertake research and test innovative solutions, not only technically but also socially feasible, using the activities ongoing in the regions and communities as case studies to better understand their success factors and to explore and experiment with new innovative ways of preparing regional economic systems and their industries to become climate resilient and sustainable, building strengths on consumer protection and to feed this information back to all regions and communities.

Eligible Activities
The proposed project should provide support to environmental and consumer NGOs for their representation in standardisation processes for eco-design and energy labelling legislation, as well as for energy audits and energy management systems, and overall support the application of the Energy Efficiency First principle as part of its activities in the European and International Standardisation Organisations. The tasks to be undertaken under this grant agreement are focused on two areas: 1) Monitoring of horizontal and product specific standardisation activities related to eco-design, energy labelling, energy audits and energy management systems, 2) Participation in and contributions to the Technical Committees and related Working Groups in the European and International Standardisation Organisations at different levels of the standardisation process. The deliverables will include regular progress reports, research reports, position papers, compatibility analyses, input into standardisation requests, guidelines, etc. Ideally, a joint participation of environmental and consumer NGOs is desired to ensure due consideration of both environmental and wider consumer and end-user perspectives.

Objective
Guidance, recommendations and replication models to support municipalities and operators in the modernisation of district heating systems have been developed and tested at the national and local levels. However, despite significant energy efficiency improvements, a large share of existing district heating and cooling systems still overly rely on fossil fuels. The need to reduce fossil fuels consumptions for heating purposes, including in centralised district heating and cooling systems, is clearly singled out in the framework of the REPowerEU plan[2] to phase out EU dependence on fossil fuels imports. District heating operators/owners need to identify local renewable energy and waste heat sources and to coordinate with local stakeholders in order to contract supply. Investments are needed to integrate low-grade heat sources into the existing network and, where needed, to upgrade it as well as potentially adapt infrastructure on the demand side.
Eligible Activities
Proposals should work with operators/owners of high temperature district heating systems and provide them with the required technical support for the preparation of investment plans to fulfil the proposed criteria for ‘efficient district heating and cooling’ as defined in the proposal for the revised directive on energy efficiency. Activities may include among others, identification of available renewable energy and waste heat sources, contracting with owners, pre-feasibility studies, financial engineering, etc. The investment plans to be produced should allow the targeted district heating system to fulfil the criteria for “efficient district heating and cooling” within in a timeline of 10 years. The focus should be on low-grade renewable energy or waste heat (as defined in Article 2 (9) of the proposal for a revised RED). The investment plans should include the detailed identification of the investments, their timing, the internal and external resources required, the public and private funding sources and potential involvement of the private sector, in particular for the first tranches of investments.

Objective
The topic aims to make investments in energy efficiency and small-scale renewable energy sources more attractive to private investors. Significant investments need to be mobilised to achieve the ambition set by the European Green Deal and the objective to reduce EU dependence on fossil fuels imports set out in the REPowerEU plan. While significant public sector expenditure is allocated to leverage private finance for sustainable energy (e.g. through the InvestEU facility), many private investors still lack sufficient incentives and tools to overcome the perceived complexity and risks associated with this kind of projects. Sustainable energy investments, understood in this topic as investments in energy efficiency and small-scale renewable energy sources, need further de-risking and mainstreaming into the strategic and operational approaches of market actors, in particular private financial institutions.
Eligible Activities
Proposals should address one or several of the following areas of work, with a focus on sustainable energy investments (i.e. energy efficiency and/or small-scale renewables): Improving risk and sustainability assessment in the methods and tools of private investors by integrating the specificities of sustainable energy, including multiple benefits of energy efficiency. The focus can be at project level (e.g. creditworthiness analysis, quality standards, benchmarking data) or at portfolio level (e.g. internal ratings-based approaches, climate stress-testing, analysis of sustainable energy aspects of investment strategies, etc.). Labelling and certification schemes including methodologies and tools for benchmarking, tagging, monitoring of investment performance, and disclosure of investment data with a link to the EU sustainable finance legislation.

Objective
European Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) are called to play a key role in this respect since their mission is to find common mechanisms that could help their local startups, SMEs and slightly bigger companies to really scale-up their businesses, contributing to the creation of smart cross domain and cross border solutions. Ultimately, coming up with new business models fitted to solve most of the issues that are holding the EU back from realising its potential in the data economy. In this context, the main goal of the i4Trust initiative is to boost the development of innovative services around new data value chains . We achieve this by providing the right tools, training, mentoring and funding for the creation of Data Spaces enabling trustworthy and effective data sharing. Ecosystems of collaborating SMEs and supporting DIHs will emerge in a sustainable way around such Data Spaces. Throughout the duration of the Project, i4Trust is launching its second and last open call to select up to 19 Bottom-Up Experiments.
Eligible Activities
The tools for the creation of Data Spaces comprise mature standard-based building blocks from the FIWARE and iSHARE frameworks, together with common data models defined for multiple application domains. The FIWARE Context Broker building block supports effective data exchange among parties by using the standard NGSI. Combined with commonly adopted data models, all these building blocks bring the means to support full interoperability among parties and core concepts such as loose coupling (in which the involved participants may have specific, but more limited knowledge about each other), as well as reusability and replaceability of data sources and applications. i4Trust will help generate significant benefits for European SMEs that are not yet data-driven, in terms of innovative power and higher sales and revenue. Selected consortiums made of SMEs and DIHs will receive funding as a lump sum, ranging from €72,000 to €120,000 per consortium, depending on the number of members within each consortium. Eligible activities are: - Design, implementation and testing of the software associated with your experiment. This may include the creation of adapters to existing systems or the creation of new services (e.g., Innovative analytics service where data remains decentral and at source while analytics is performed and only derived results -depending on use case without personal data- is made available) ● Deployment and operation of the required i4Trust Building Blocks, thus enabling systems from organisations involved in your experiment to share data. ● Creation of a Data Node instance using i4Trust building blocks (a platform where data from organisations is made available to the ecosystem) or publication of offerings on data from organisations using the global experimental i4Trust Data Marketplace instance. ● Participation in relevant market fairs and global events, where the i4Trust project will be presented, to showcase the results of the experiment and address potential customers and stakeholders (e.g FIWARE Global summit) ● Documentation of the experimentation (e.g. FIWARE Impact Stories, FIWARE worldwide Blogpost, possibility to access at the FIWARE Marketplace) for publication on the i4Trust, FIWARE and/or iSHARE websites.

Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is: To support access of Syrians under Temporary Protection, Persons under International Protection and host community members to higher education for ensuring that they have the necessary skills to become self-reliant and to contribute to economic growth and development of Turkey. The specific objective of this call for proposals is: Through the provision of scholarships and related services to support Syrians under Temporary Protection, Persons under International Protection and host community members to enrol, continue and graduate from higher education in pursuing undergraduate/ graduate studies.
Eligible Activities
The Action Grant will aim to contribute to access of SuTP, PuIP and host communities (further referred to as students) to scholarships. Scholarship can be in the form of partial/ full tuition fee payments or stipends. Tuition fee refers to the fees charged by higher education institutions to their students for education. Stipend refers to the sum of money that will be paid to the student to cover his/her living and material expenses. Associated services, such as community outreach, language support, student advisory services and exam preparation will also be prioritised. The Action will support the retention of students already enrolled in universities as well as facilitate the enrolment of new students, enabling them to graduate. The action will build on experience and lessons learnt from higher education actions implemented under the previous phases of the EU Facility for Refugees including reducing dropout rates, addressing gender imbalances and promoting social cohesion and inclusiveness

• be a legal person and • be non-profit-making and • be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by Article 156 of the EU Financial Regulation and be established in a Member State of the European Union or Turkey

L’objectif général du présent appel à propositions est de renforcer les organisations de la société civile (OSC) locales en tant qu’acteurs indépendantes, crédibles, participatifs pour une bonne gouvernance et développement au niveau national L’objectif spécifique du présent appel à propositions est: de renforcer l’engagement et la capacité des organisations de la société civile (OSC) locales en tant qu’acteurs de la bonne gouvernance et du développement au niveau national.
Eligible Activities
1. Amélioration de la gouvernance locale et la participation de la société civile au niveau communal (lot 1); 2. Amélioration des liens entre les OSC culturelles et les autorités locales notamment autour des questions de gouvernance locale et de mise en œuvre du développement local, de l’environnement de la société civile (lots 1 et 2) ; 3. Le développement de plaidoyer en vue d’améliorer l’environnement de l’entreprenariat (plaidoyer pour améliorer le cadre juridique et politique) (lots 1 et 2) 4. Soutien, par des actions en cascades des initiatives d’OSC sur les thématiques de la gouvernance, de la démocratie, de la citoyenneté, d’appui et d’accompagnement des OCB y compris féminines par des OSC ayant une assise locale avérée (lot 1 et 2); 5. Amélioration de l’organisation et du fonctionnement des organes de gouvernance et favoriser l’acquisition de compétence et d’expertise au sein des OSC émergentes et autres organisations communautaires de base visant à maintenir un environnement propice à la société civile (lots 1 et 2) ;

• être une personne morale et • n’avoir aucun but lucratif et appartenir à l’une des catégories d’organisations suivantes: organisation non gouvernementale, opérateur du secteur public, organisation internationale (intergouvernementale) telle que définie à l’article 156 du règlement financier de l’Union européenne et être établi au Tchad ou dans un État membre de l’Union européenne.
