Throughout our history, California Sheet Metal has consistently demonstrated an understanding of what it truly means to take ownership of our work.
Our company took a significant step forward in 2013 when we officially transitioned into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), granting all of our employees the invaluable opportunity to think and act like owners. This transformative decision has had a profound impact on our organizational culture and has become an integral part of who we are as a team.

Jeff Farrell - Is always willing to lend a hand, not just to his own team, but to everyone in the company. Most recently, he stepped up to help complete work on a project, which had some unrealistic deadlines despite having his own assignment to work on. His dedication creates a supportive work environment where teamwork thrives, and success is shared
Willie Gentry - Is the backbone of the CSM shop. He always makes the extra effort to track down PMs to provide critical information in order properly verify and confirm all orders. He consistently goes above and beyond displaying hard work and dedication day in and day out in the shop. Willie is a valued member of our team and is a vital part of CSM’s successful shop to field workflow.
Brett Speck - Has stepped up and taken on responsibilities above and beyond his PE role, including management of the company schedule and handling IT requests to SpotLink. Brett is eager to take on more and grow in the company

CSM GIVES BACK TO THE SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY
SOME OF OUR CSM ESTIMATORS PARTICIPATED IN SUNDT'S ANNUAL MIKE GAINS GOLF TOURNAMENT, WHICH RAISES MONEY FOR ALS AND MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY RESEARCH.
WE PARTNERED WITH OUR NEIGHBOR, UMEC, TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF SAN DIEGO PATIENTS IN NEED OF BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS THROUGH OUR JUNE BLOOD DRIVE.

PROJECT MILESTONE HIGHLIGHTS
UPDATE
SCRIPPS TOWER II, LA JOLLA
THE 433,000-SQUARE-FOOT STRUCTURE WILL HOUSE NINE OPERATING ROOMS AND 108 PRIVATE ROOMS FOR MEDICAL AND SURGICAL PATIENTS. A NEW WOMEN’S CENTER WITH 13 LABOR ROOMS, FIVE PRE-DELIVERY ROOMS AND 38 MORE FOR MOTHERS AND THEIR NEWBORN BABIES WILL OCCUPY THREE FLOORS.

FASHION VALLEY MALL, SAN DIEGO
OUR TEAM HAS BEEN WORKING NIGHTS AT FASHION VALLEY ON THE MAJOR MODERNIZATION TAKING PLACE AT THE MALL.

GAYLORD PACIFIC HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER, CHULA VISTA
CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES TO MOVE FORWARD AT THE GAYLORD PACIFIC HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER IN CHULA VISTA, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC IN SUMMER OF 2025.
UPDATE
SDIA ADMINISTRATON BUILDING, SAN DIEGO
WITH AN EXPECTED COMPLETION OF FEBRUARY 2024, PROGRESS IS BEING MADE ON THE NEW, 130,000SQUARE-FOOT SDIA ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AFTER CONSTRUCTION, THE AIRPORT AUTHORITY ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL WILL BE RELOCATING TO THE NEW FACILITY AS PART OF THE FIRST PHASE OF THE MAJOR T1 REMODEL

JEREMY REAL
JEREMY BEGAN HIS SHEET METAL CAREER IN 1999 AND JOINED THE CSM TEAM LAST YEAR FROM ASM. HE IS CURRENTLY LEADING OUR WORK ON SCRIPPS SUMMIT COURT, SDG&E, MARSTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND TRILINK FLANDERS. WHEN JEREMY IS NOT ON THE JOB, HE ENJOYS SPENDING TIME WITH HIS FAMILY AND GRILLING OUTSIDE.

RALPH DANIELSEN
RALPH HAS BEEN A PART OF THE CALIFORNIA SHEET METAL SINCE 2006 AND ENJOYS RUNNING OUR SHOP LASER AND FORMING PARTS FOR OUR PROJECTS, WHICH COME TOGETHER TO BE BIGGER THAN THE PORTION OF THE PROJECT HE IS WORKING ON IN THE SHOP WHEN RALPH IS NOT WORKING IN THE CSM SHOP HE ENJOYS FISHING, GOLF, AND BEING AROUND HIS FAMILY

GARY HAS BEEN A PART OF THE TEAM SINCE AUGUST OF 2021 AND IS CURRENTLY MANAGING THE GAYLORD PACIFIC HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER PROJECT, THE CALEXICO BOARDER CROSSING AND THE RENOVATON OF THE JACOBS MUSIC CENTER AT COPLEY HALL. ON WEEKENDS, GARY ENJOYS HITTING THE GREENS AROUND SAN DIEGO.

Summer Safety Tip
Heat Exhaustion is a serious heat-related health problem.
Symptomsofheatexhaustion:
•Headache•Nausea•Dizziness•Weakness•Irritability•Thirst
•Heavysweating•Elevatedbodytemperature
If a worker shows signs of possible heat exhaustion:
• Workers with signs or symptoms of heat exhaustion should be taken to a clinic or emergency room for medical evaluation and treatment
• If medical care is not available, call 911 immediately
• Make sure that someone stays with the worker until help arrives
• Workers should be removed from the hot area and given liquids to drink
• Remove unnecessary clothing including shoes and socks
• Cool the worker with cold compresses to the head, neck, and face or have the worker wash his or her head, face and neck with cold water
