When returning from a day out in the grass or garden, in the park or in the country; it is best to shower and check for ticks. Do this every time!

Don’t forget to check your pet!

Work together with your healthcare office or pharmacist to ďŹ nd a repellent that your family is comfortable applying

If you suspect that you have been bitten by a tick, watch for the following symptoms. They may not show up immediately. Call your healthcare provider if you have any concerns.

This is my favorite rash chart. While most people are aware of a bullseye rash, there are actually many other telltale signs.

Most often there is no rash following a tick bite, but keep this chart in mind in the days and weeks following a suspected bite... Remember to check with a healthcare provider and show them this chart.
