Fairy Tales Queer Film Festival May 21-30, 2021

2021 SPONSORSHIP AND ADVERTISING GUIDE Presented by THE CALGARY QUEER ARTS SOCIETY AND RBC

The Festival The Fairy Tales Annual Queer Film Festival is a premiere event for queer culture in Alberta. The festival showcases over 40 features, documentaries, short films, panels, workshops and local arts that are by and about the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and its supporters. We've featured local, national, and international film and arts since 1998, as a distinguished champion of queer artists and cinema in Alberta. We are proud to be the one of the largest LGBTQ2+ Film Festival in Canada, and one of few operating on the prairies. Our innovative approach launches film into the lived experience through events designed to engage the community in shared experiences and stories. In March 2020, our small but passionate team, was determined that the Fairy Tales Queer Film Festival would continue. Within two months' time, we brought all of our planned programming online with the help of the independent film platform Xerb.tv. The first ever digital Fairy Tales Film Festival was a huge success, featuring 38 films from 14 countries, a dozen live-streamed interviews with filmmakers, and over 2500 audience members from Calgary and around the world. As we navigate the continued uncertainties of 2021, the Fairy Tales team is moving forward with plans to once again host an entirely digital festival. There are many opportunities for your business get involved, support the festival and grow your community. The show will go on!
