What do construction workers really do?
Whether they are building homes, fixing roads, or working with electricity, tools, and machines, one thing is for sure. Construction workers have many different jobs and work together to build our communities.
What do different workers do?
Carpenter
Carpenters build and fix things using wood. They help shape homes, schools, and big buildings.
Concrete Former
Concrete formers build the shapes that hold wet concrete in place. Once it dries, it becomes strong floors, bridges, and tall buildings.
Electrician
Electricians install wires that bring power to buildings. They help light up homes, offices, and huge towers.
Mason
Masons build with bricks and stone. They create strong walls, pathways, and buildings that can last a long time.
Plumber
Plumbers install pipes that carry water in buildings, including tall towers and big buildings. They help sinks, toilets, and sprinklers work properly.
Ironworker
Ironworkers build with large pieces of metal. They help create the strong skeleton of skyscrapers and stadiums.
Glazier
Glaziers install glass in windows and walls, even high up on tall buildings. They help towers and skyscrapers shine and let in light.
Roofer
Roofers build and fix roofs high above the ground. They help protect buildings from rain, snow, and wind.
