INSPIRING EARLY LEARNERS. Calgary Academy™ launched an early learning program with the addition of a Grade 1 class to the school in Fall 2018.
GRADS GIVE BACK. The 2019 Graduating Class donated a GaGa ball pit to the school! Nearly 100 alumni and staff came together on August 26, 2019 to build the GaGa ball pit and share in a few games of GaGa ball.

BUILDING COMMUNITY. The first all-school Fall Welcome event gathered nearly 500 students and their families to kick off the 2018-2019 school year.

SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT. The James Chaput Bursary Fund provided approximately $220,000 in bursaries in 20182019, which was further supported by $96,000 of funds raised by the Calgary Academy Parents’ Association (CAPA). In total, 27 students benefitted from bursaries to Calgary Academy.
The STEM internship turned out to be one of the highlights of my life. I met so many great people, gained so much knowledge, affirmed my dream of being a physician. I was also blessed enough to be able to return for the summer which consisted of shadowing actual patient studies. Faith Gow GRADE 11
Calgary Academy has been life changing for all three of our children. The bursary program has assisted us in keeping our children in this amazing school. WORLD-CLASS OPPORTUNITIES. Grade 11 student Faith Gow was accepted into the 2019 Calgary High School STEM Fellowship Research Internship Program.
PURSUING LIVES OF PASSION AND PURPOSE. Our alumni amplify the impact of Calgary Academy locally and internationally. Kristine Boone is a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo.
Your learning experience is seriously tailored for you. It’s like getting fit for golf clubs, no one has the same experience here. I think everyone has different strengths and weaknesses so your teachers really customize the way you take in knowledge. It’s incredible how they will design your whole experience here at Calgary Academy.

If I hadn’t gone to CA, I probably wouldn’t have graduated high school. And to think now I’ve been in school for ten years after high school! TAILORED EDUCATION. Khobe Clarke’s experience at Calgary Academy was highly customized to his needs and interests. An avid athlete, actor, and student leader, Khobe gained experiences to set him up for a variety of opportunities upon graduation.

TRANSFORMED LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS. Calgary Academy invested nearly $1.5 million in state-of-the-art classroom furnishings to adapt learning environments to best suit the changing needs of students.

HONOURING A LEGACY. The Raymond and Norma Jaenen Learning Commons was established in appreciation for years of generosity and support.
EXPANDING ACCESS. Calgary Academy partnered with The Prosser Charitable Foundation to bring more bursaries to CA students in 2020-2021 and beyond.

NATIONAL EXCELLENCE. The Grade 7 “Journeys to Reconciliation” project-based learning unit was selected as a Top 25 finalist for the Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Teaching. Congratulations to the teaching team of Tienneke Calder, Maureen KellyGibson, and Elizabeth Howie on this national recognition.
TWENTY YEARS FOR TERRY. Calgary Academy participated in its 20th Terry Fox Run, bringing the combined total of money raised for the Terry Fox Foundation to over $263,000!

RECOGNIZING FEMALE ATHLETES AND CANCER AWARENESS. The 2018 Dig Pink Volleyball Tournament raised $10,700 for breast cancer research, bringing the 19–year history of donations to the Alberta Cancer Foundation to $79,975!
