Our story so far

The Caley Group , celebrated its 25 year anniversary in 2021. Over the last two decades, our name has became synonymous with first class professional service with a client base of over 3000 clients across the UK. We put continuous investment into our brand, our team, and our clients to ensure we remain a stand out supplier in our industry.

Over 2021 and 2022, we expanded The Caley Group family, adding the PaperPlus and OTC brands to our portfolio. In 2022 we joined Eurosafe, becoming part of one of Europe’s largest trading alliances specialising in the supply of occupational health and safety products, workplace clothing, and professional safety based services.

Who are The Caley Group

The Caley Group was formed in 1996 simply to look after a small core of established clients. As a young professional working within the office supplies and print industry, I regularly witnessed issues such as unreliable, expensive, low quality products and bad logistics – all of which were getting in the way of good service. The business has come a long way since its inception in my front bedroom. The Caley Group was created to solve these problems and continues to do so today; serving many of the very same customers and 1000’s more throughout the UK. We have steadily grown to become one of Scotland’s largest independent workplace providers. Our headquarters and manufacturing facility is a modern 20,000 sq. ft property on the fringe of Glasgow City Centre. From here we design, manufacture and distribute hundreds of office products, print, office furniture and workwear orders daily.

We are a very close knit organisation; big enough to offer very competitive prices and an efficient service, yet small enough to care for each individual customer. Our group provides its specialist skills, services and products to many of the UK leading companies. WebStore

Our WebStore is our online catalogue and product ordering system, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is the simplest way to browse our catalogue, obtain accurate pricing and place orders. Our online offering is real time, therefore all orders placed are immediately processed and those placed before 17:00 are delivered nationally the next working day*.

Glasgow (HQ)

The Caley Group headquarters are based at our flagship, state-of-the-art premises in Glasgow. There we host both our working furniture showroom and our workwear & PPE showroom.

Aberdeen, Dundee, and Edinburgh

In 2021, we were delighted to add the PaperPlus brand to The Caley Group family, and in 2022 we furthered our showcase by adding the OTC brand. With these additions, we now hold premises in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, and Glasgow (HQ). Our strategy is to provide a national, coast-tocoast solution with a large company infrastructure underpinned by local company relationships. Our Scotland service proposition is now a key strength and differentiator for our clients.

Eurosafe was formed as a simple independent safety network by a few far-sighted individuals who could see the benefits of using their combined turnover to deliver an economic advantage. Thirty years later the members across the UK and the Republic of Ireland represent the leading independent suppliers of occupational health and safety products, with a combined stock-holding of > £21m.

In 2022, The Caley Group became a shareholding member of this strong, national alliance. This allows us to successfully compete and offer customers the specialist stock they require.

From the source

We are proactive in working with suppliers that are environmentally and socially responsible. This includes products that are responsibly sourced, made from recycled or sustainable materials and durable and long-lasting to reduce consumption. We recycle as much of the packaging we receive as possible and use only recyclable materials for our own delivery packaging.

We use responsibly sourced FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper for office use and publications and promote this to our customers.

Energy efficiency

Using energy efficient techniques reduce our impact by ensuring that we only use what we really need. All delivery drivers are allocated regional areas to reduce milage and fuel wastage. Machines are powered down when not in use and all power is shut off during out of office hours

Materials, processes and waste

We have abandoned conventional litho printing due to the toxic environmental compounds it generates; instead investing in a state-of the-art environmental printing press, using only plant-based inks. We are proud to be an industry leader on this front, being one of the first British companies to make this change.
