Treasuring beauty should be everyone's duty. Sometimes, it loves to hide itself in details that offers unexpected gifts to people, unaware of the richness everyday live conceals. We superficially cal them succulent plants, leaving to the Xerophytes the same poor consideration that we often reserve nature. It is underestimated the etymology of the root of the word, that underlines the dryness, putting in evidence the survival genetic inclinations. For Marino Calesini, a careful observer, this plant's secrets are not precluded: his artistic way is a solemn elegant advance towards the connection system that rules the human and nature balance. The rapport that the artist has with this plant class is a perceptible resonance that seems to confirm Goethe's vision of how nature allows the solution of its enigmas only to whom is empathetic with it. The botanical passion transfers the artistic ambition to the brush, giving more than common descriptive views: his hand can give intrinsic lyricism with essential lines, beaking the subjects up in infinite aesthetics possibilities. Marino Calesini replaces the purpose of observing with biological and emotional microcosms: voiding an academic cataloguing of enlightenment origins, he permits a communication with inner and outer, with symbolic and real, with appearance and essence. Dividing the succulents up, Calesini reveals their communicative skills, making metaphorically possible human life in an arid world, in front of which he keeps emotions that are able to bring back, just like water, life to life.
