Caldwell Municipal Pool Update
Due to accelerating costs of construction, the Caldwell Pool will remain closed through the 2024 season. We fully understand the frustration the continued closure of the pool has caused our citizens and are doing our best to address this. Funds for rehabbing the current pool were included in the 2023 budget; however, construction expenses have far outpaced anticipated costs. Our team is investigating every possible avenue to raise the funding needed with the goal to have a new and improved pool open for our citizens as soon as realistically possible. We fully understand what a valuable resource the pool is for our community.
As an alternative, until our City pool is able to reopen, swimming lessons are available at the Caldwell YMCA. The Y offers free and reduced class tuition based on income. More information can be found at: https://www.ymcatvidaho.org/facilities/fac-caldwell/

RIDE THE EAGLE CAP EXCURSION TRAIN – FALL FOLIAGE
DATE: SATURDAY,

Join Caldwell Recreation as we enjoy the amazing fall colors aboard the Eagle Cap Excursion Train! Departing from Caldwell Recreation in the comfort of a diesel coach bus, we will head to Elgin, Oregon where we will board the train. We will view the autumn splendor as the train follows the shore of the Grande Ronde River to Rondowa, where it is joined by the Wild & Scenic Wallowa River. The ride continues a couple of miles up the Wallowa, then reverses direction for the return to Elgin. The late-season scenery is splendid! A delicious boxed meal will be served along the way.
