Serom, founded in 1990, is a committed and modern construction company. From the beginning, the company has been present in the industrial, health and educational sectors, becoming a reference with a consolidated portfolio of clients. In 2014, Serom became part of CALAF GRUP business group, contributing its experience in works, services and maintenance. Serom has introduced new digital and innovative tools to its processes such as BIM, Lean Management and Finalcad.

collaborative At Serom we understand that the best result in the whole project is the result of sharing knowledge and experience through close collaboration between all parties involved: Owners, Designers and Builder and their collaborators. For this reason, we encourage a collaborative spirit in our team, as this is the basis for good coordination between all parties. In addition, we have made extensive use of tools and methodologies that promote collaborative work: BIM, FINALCAD, LEAN (LPS)...
industrialization At Serom we apply 2D and 3D off-site prefabrication systems to obtain the benefits of industrialized construction: reduced time, increased quality, improved safety and cost optimization. But we wanted to go one step further and are currently immersed in a project to industrialize our production model, because this is the part that does not depend on the design of the building and where we can have a greater impact. In this project, the initial study and design phases require special attention, and we put all the knowledge and experience of our teams and our Technical Office into these phases.

lean management All our construction teams have been formed at ITeC by Last Planner System experts. We apply the LPS methodology to all our work projects, which allows us to identify potential problems and act from the beginning to guarantee an optimal production and quality for our customers.
bim At Serom we actively support the promotion of the BIM methodology in all the projects we carry out. We have technicians trained in this methodology in our design department, technical office and construction teams. The use of the BIM methodology helps to centralize all the information related to the project in a single information model created in a collaborative way by all the agents involved, from the development phase to the execution.

At Serom, we have a strong environmental conscience. That is why we apply policies, under the parameters of sustainability and innovation, that aim to reduce the environmental impact that our activity generates to society.

Circular economy is part of our culture. Calaf Grup's company Picvisa, has as its social objective the valorization and separation of waste through artificial vision and intelligence. Currently, our offices, workshops and industrial buildings use 100% green energy supplied by the group's company: Astralcad Energia. We have a brand dedicated to the manufacture of equipment for the management of wastewater and the treatment of industrial water, with the aim of transforming it into an affluent that can be directly reused or returned to the water cycle. In addition, Calaf Grup's company Transparenta, promotes efficient water management and has a pioneering project to reconnect the excess gas from a wastewater treatment plant to the domestic network. In the construction field, we study and use innovative and more sustainable materials for building, reusing materials to give them a new life and using industrialized construction to reduce the environmental, acoustic and CO2 emissions impact generated by conventional construction. Calaf Trenching works in the excavation of pits using trenchers and its own machinery, which minimizes the environmental impact of earthworks and allows the reuse of the excavated material. We evaluate the direct and indirect environmental aspects of our facilities, scoring aspects such as atmospheric emissions, waste, wastewater generation and waste of resources in order to apply the necessary environmental action measures.

Our social responsibility covers many areas and is reflected in the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring the well-being and safety of our team and reinforcing our commitment to the territory and our community.

We support the people of the organization in their training and economic needs so that they can adapt to changes in the environment and market needs, as well as promote a safe, sustainable and riskfree environment for all employees. During 2022, approximately 14,000 hours of training were provided. We are committed to the development of internal talent and to our School Project, which gives us the opportunity to introduce young students to the job market. In 2022, we had a total of 20 students in internships. We promote transparency among all the stakeholders in our organization through open and honest communication. Thanks to innovative tools such as the LEAN methodology, we are able to keep all teams involved in a project informed at all times.
We promote the crime prevention model to prevent illegal behavior. In this model, we include our Criminal Compliance Policy, the Ethics Committee as a guarantee of the system, the Anti-Fraud and Money Laundering Control Policy, the Conflict of Interest Policy, the Asset Theft Prevention Protocol, etc.
