Something about the warmer weather and longer days makes us crave nature and a dose of Vitamin D. From beautiful beaches to amazing landscapes, we’re surrounded by stunning land suited for an active outing in the sunshine. Unplug and hit one of these family-friendly local trails for a breath of fresh air this spring.

Wildwood Regional Park

A must-experience hike in Thousand Oaks, you can find a teepee and Indian cave on the trails. Hike down some switchbacks and stairs to see the year-round waterfall, Paradise Falls.

Malibu Creek State Park

Of the three dozen trails available from this Calabasas trailhead, the three-mile hike to Rock Pool is a favorite, leading you to tranquil pools and a massive volcanic rock wall.

Solstice Canyon

Dog-friendly walking trails lead to the ruins of the Roberts Ranch House and a perennial waterfall. This Malibu hotspot’s parking lot fills up quickly, so plan to arrive early if possible.
