Like a good neighbor, Mike Kevorken has been helping his clients protect their most valuable assets at his State Farm Insurance Agency for the past 43 years. A Southern California local, Mike was born and raised in Van Nuys. He received his bachelor’s degree in physical education and health science from Cal State Northridge and his master’s at Cal Lutheran in advanced education. Mike’s first career was teaching high school for six years in Santa Clarita before deciding he wanted to enjoy the independence that comes with running his own business.

Mike was also looking for a pathway where he could make a positive impact running a business designed to help others protect their lives and plan ahead. After a lot of research, Mike became a State Farm agent, which offered a fulfilling, rewarding career path where he could work for something he believed in. “I started my career with State Farm because I wanted to lead and develop my own team,” says Mike.

“When I married my wife, Cindy, and we started our family, we discovered the biggest benefit of all was having a business that helped us enrich our lives in our community. We’ve been married for 40 years and have raised our four amazing children, two of which work alongside me here at the agency.”

Mike credits his success to good old-fashioned customer service and his desire to help people live their lives more peacefully knowing they are covered and protected for the unexpected life challenges ahead.
