CAISA Fashion Show 2014 Arcadia Lookbook

A Message from the Children’s Health Foundation Children’s Health Foundation is pleased to endorse CAISA. Proceeds from their 2014 Fashion Show will purchase Smart Intravenous pumps for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.

For newborns born too soon or in need of intensive medical attention, the NICU at Children’s provides highly specialized care. Infants in the NICU require very specific amounts of medication, nourishment, care and treatment. This advanced technology can infuse medicine in dosages measured to two decimal points and can therefore run life-saving drugs and nourishment more accurately than currently possible. Medication and nourishment can be given to the baby at lower rates over a given period of time. Many of these babies cannot eat when they are born because they are so small and fragile, and they have to receive their nutrition through an IV. Some of these infants can have up to three or four IVs hooked up at a time on their first or second day in the NICU, and this requires significant attention and coordination. These little babies need every ounce of energy to thrive – the smallest change in medication can have an immediate and lasting impact.

Director’s Word “Take care of the sense, and the sounds will take care of themselves” We are thrilled that you are joining us on this very special night, at the 16th annual CAISA Fashion Show. This year’s program takes inspiration from Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland. Experience a world of adventure, imagination and grandeur. Be prepared to watch an amazing showcase of fashion and performance.

Our thirteen year partnership with the Children’s Health Foundation is what drives us to work our hardest year after year. Thanks to the generosity of all our supporters, sponsors and donors, CAISA Fashion Show is proud to present $30,000 to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) which specializes in care for premature and small newborns. Some of our volunteers and team members have direct history with premature birth, so it is a cause near and dear to us. Thank you, our audience members, for being here tonight and contributing to this cause.

We would also like to commend our performers, volunteers, models and executive team who have put their heart and soul into the show that you will witness tonight. We are extremely blessed to have worked with such a passionate and hardworking team over the past twelve months.
