Hello, and welcome to CAISA Fashion Show 2025! As we celebrate our 27th anniversary, we are thrilled to have you join us tonight to watch a year’s worth of efforts come to life. On behalf of the CAISA Fashion Show 2025 team, we present to you: SUPERNOVA.
A supernova is the powerful explosion of a dying star. In the seemingly never-ending pursuit of success, the same fate may await those who burn too brightly for too long. SUPERNOVA unravels our main character as he rises through the entertainment industry, fueled by desire and desperation. With every step forward, the lines between ambition and morality blur. In his attempt to reach greater heights, our main character loses himself, consumed by the very thing he sought. What starts as a pursuit of greatness warps into self-destruction, transforming him from a rising star into the villain of his own story. From humble beginnings to glitz and glamour to a final explosive supernova, our main character undergoes a transformative journey through stardom. SUPERNOVA reflects the fragility of the identity, the hunger for the spotlight, and how that can reshape a person into something unrecognizable.
CAISA Fashion Show has undergone a remarkable journey – beginning as a small production at The Wave 27 years ago, our perseverance through the challenges brought by the pandemic, to blossoming into a breathtaking spectacle, our organization has grown immensely. Yet amidst all the changes, one thing remains unchanged – our long-standing partnership with Children’s Health Foundation and unwavering commitment to supporting their cause. For our 24th year in support of Children’s Health Foundation, CAISA Fashion Show is proud to be fundraising for Music Therapy.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who continuously makes our show possible. To our wonderful sponsors, our contacts at University Students’ Council, PA Shop, and Centennial Hall, and to our previous team members whose legacy continues to inspire us: your continued support, guidance, and encouragement have been a fruitful reminder throughout this journey.
We also would like to thank all of our directors, executives, and models who have dedicated countless hours to bringing tonight’s show to life – transforming our creative dreams into a reality. We are incredibly honoured to have worked alongside such a passionate and hardworking team this year, and for that, we are eternally grateful for our team’s devotion to our mission: #OneTeamOneDream.
Sincerely,

Best Care. Most Hope. Across our Region.
A second home – that’s how many patients and their families refer to Children’s Hospital in London, Ontario. Through their health care journeys, they come to know it as a place that they can trust and feel safe in during the most difficult times in their lives. As kids continue to face medical emergencies, cancer, chronic illness and other life-threatening health issues during uncertain times, Children’s stands by them with leading-edge care.
Children’s Hospital offers the most advanced paediatric care in its region. Each year, it is counted on by more than 57,000 children, from birth to age 18, living in Western Ontario.
When a child’s life is threatened, our medical professionals have the expertise to offer world-class care in more than 30 different medical specialties and sub-specialties.
Creativity. Passion. Community.
CAISA Fashion Show brings all these elements to their fashion show year-after-year – to the delight of audiences and for the benefit of sick children in our community.
As you put your hands together tonight to commend CAISA Fashion Show for another awe-inspiring event, please take a moment to also recognize them for their incredible philanthropy. Over the past 23 years, CAISA Fashion Show has worked diligently to raise more than $421,000 to strengthen children’s health care in our community. They are truly an inspiring group of young leaders and we at Children’s Health Foundation are honoured to be their charity of choice.
Year-after-year, their generosity positively impacts the children served by our healthcare partners: Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, Thames Valley Children’s Centre and Children’s Health Research Institute. CAISA Fashion Show has chosen, this year, to support the Music Therapy Program which facilitates healing by helping patients identify stressors, encouraging emotional expression, promoting a greater sense of empowerment, and increasing coping skills. Music therapy provides opportunities for our kids to express thoughts and feelings regarding their medical and mental health issues and develop trusting relationships in a safe, non-medical space. With Music Therapy, children and youth develop a sense of empowerment in their overall hospital care!
Thank you CAISA Fashion Show for your commitment to improving the future of children’s health and helping children and families during their greatest time of need.
Sincerely,
R. Scott Fortnum, MA, CFRE, ACFRE President & Chief Executive Officer
I’m thrilled to share that once again, our Social Science Students’ Council has proudly supported CAISA Fashion Show through the Student Donation Fund. This year’s event was nothing short of spectacular, reflecting the creativity and dedication of the CAISA team.
Here at the Social Science faculty, our council isn’t just about governance. We are a dynamic group of over 70 student leaders who have come together with a shared passion for making our faculty a supportive, and enriching space for all students. Each of us, whether elected or hired, is committed to creating an environment where every Social Science student can thrive academically and socially.
Through contributions to the Student Donation Fund, we're able to support meaningful projects that resonate with our goals. CAISA Fashion Show is a prime example of how we can engage our Social Science community, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and passions while making a significant impact beyond our campus. It’s initiatives like these that highlight the spirit and dedication of our Social Science community.
I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together and am excited to see how our support continues to enrich the lives of our faculty.
Best,
President Chloe Vanderlugt Social Science Students’ Council
