I think gestalt is a technique that is used to grab the viewers’ attention by making up patterns and pictures. This relates to our project because we tried to make interesting compositions and make our audience feel a certain way through abstraction.
I prefer making “well-crafted objects”
because I am a perfectionist who does not want to waste time on something I am not proud of. This project helped me understand the appeal behind making abstract art and that you do not always need to be working from an inspiration picture. I found it tough to represent ideas without illustrating
them because even if I were trying to highlight a concept, it would end up being perceived as an image or a story by my peers. I think this exercise helped me realize that there is a why behind everything you put into your art and that you can add minor details that add a ton of impact.
I learned about some distinctive features a bottlenose dolphin will always have. They have short beaks and only one blowhole. They are also almost always gray. The most challenging media to use was the type collage because I struggled to find words that contributed meaning to my piece. My type collage looked like a regular collage, which was frustrating. I
enjoyed the geometric iteration the most because I find making origami relaxing and stress-free. I learned about the stamp tool in Photoshop and have already used it to edit some of my pictures on my camera roll. It is such a quick and easy tool to remove unwanted items. I would add more minor iterations for extra detail and more of each style.

The main difference between a good life and a significant life is the feelings you endure while living each one. In my opinion, a good life comes with happiness and joy in your career and relationships or connections. There is no set blueprint for what creates a good life; it is simply whatever makes one feel fulfilled and complete. Whether art, math, or unemployment, as long as you are genuinely content with your choices. In contrast, a significant life in my eyes would happen when a person is very successful and making huge impacts on society and the world, but not necessarily doing what they love. For example, you could be an extremely wealthy accountant who can support your family and afford other luxuries. Or possibly a celebrity or influencer of sorts. On paper, they look like they have the most fantastic life, but in reality, they
If you were guaranteed it would support you financially,
If money were not an issue and I was guaranteed financial stability, my dream would be to design an energy drink brand. I have an insane caffeine addiction and consume energy drinks daily. I find that the can designs are always stellar, and think it would be awesome to create my own brand and get free energy drinks for life. Another idea I have thought about but pushed to the side due to fear of failure was starting a bakery with my cousin. We both love baking and would find that lifestyle rewarding and fun. Plus, we would have the cutest little shop, and I’d get to satisfy my sweet tooth every day.
