Amalgamated into the City of Hamilton in 2001, Binbrook has grown rapidly yet maintains an intimate “small town” charm. The seasonal Binbrook Farmers’ Market has become a highly anticipated event that highlights local growers and artisans. Binbrook Little Theatre stages local productions showcasing the creativity and culture of the area. Let’s start with the Binbrook Conservation Area, a vast, lush, green paradise, home to the largest inland lake in the Niagara region, the Lake Niapenco reservoir. Enjoy boating, hiking, wake boarding, swimming, volleyball, wildlife spotting, and many year-round activities. Hit the famous Tyneside Trail that winds through wildflower meadows and reforested areas.

Thanks to the magnificent geography off the Niagara Escarpment, Hamilton is home to over 100 waterfalls, and even holds the title as the Waterfall Capital of the World. Hamilton is also home to part of Canada’s oldest and longest marked footpath: The Bruce Trail. Traversing over 400 kilometres of picturesque landscapes, the Bruce Trail offers the quintessential Canadian adventure that all outdoor enthusiasts will love.

The Binbrook Farmers’ Market is a great destination to pick up healthy, Ontario-grown fruits and vegetables, fresh produce, local honey, craft wines and more. Likewise, the Hamilton Farmers’ Market offers a diverse array of over 60 vendors that provide a wonderful selection of quality food. And when you’re ready for a little break from shopping, there’s no lack of sweet treats and coffee to relax with.
