2019
One of my favorite things in life is the element of surprise and in 2019 I’m once again impressed with kitesurfing’s ability to surprise (the hell out of) me. We develop and test our product so methodically that you would think that there is no room left for ashtonishment. We conceptualize, design, and prototype. We then make incremental design changes to slowly massage the product into its intended performance position. A time-tested procedure that seems pretty straight forward and predictable, right? But when one of these prototypes exceeds your expectations and completely blindsides you with a level of performance and precision that is beyond all expectation, it’s difficult to pass it off as chance. Every year we throw down a challenge and our designers happily step up to meet it. This was the case with our all new 3 strut Moto kite. This project grew from a humble 3 strut kite design into a triple threat performance beast that shatters any metaphoric box that tries to contain it. The Moto is simply one of our highest performing kites to date with a massive range of use. With cutting edge skills in Freeride, Freesurf, and Foiling, the Moto could simply be the only kite you’ll ever need. That same collision of elements came together for our long awaited H20 two strap binding. With a keen eye on the rise in progressive big air events, the H20 puts power behind the movement with performance and comfort through customization. In order to maximize your foiling addiction this season, we’ve expanded our foil program with our new Hi:Rise eco-system. Two all new wing sets and a new fuselage compliment our growing collection of foilboards, including our all new X:Breed Foil board with a foil mount for fun above sea level. The X:Breed surfboard is just one of three new surf models to elevate the Cabrinha surf lineup. What’s not surprising this year is the quality and attention to detail that comes with every Cabrinha product. Year after year our aim is to make you, our extended family, the most informed and well equipped riders on the water.
