A higher level of performance can only be achieved when the kite’s design properties are supported by a stable and reactive kite material. Nano Ripstop does just that.

HIGH TENACITY DACRON

Our Dacron is specifically designed for inflated kite structures. The construction of this material is very warp oriented using ultra high tenacity yarns with an increased thread count to combat elongation in the warp direction under high inflation pressures. Lower elongation makes for a more accurate kite with less deformation while in flight.

PURE PROFILE PANELS

The strategically placed panels provide ultimate control over the aerodynamic profiles in the kite. Smooth and stable profile entry. Improved overall kite efficiency, performance, and range. Faster flying through the sky giving you a broader range of performance.

SKELETAL FRAME

Provides the structure that keeps the kite design true to its intended shape while in-flight. The stable frame drives the kite through turbulence with a minimal amount of deformation and has excellent overall de-power. The inflated leading edge introduces the laminar flow of air across the kite’s Pure Profile panels, for a quick recovery if stalled and prevents the kite folding on itself. The inflatable structure reduces the amount of bridling required for stability. It also provides safety by providing some flotation in the water, and enables easy re-launch.

ASPECT RATIO

Our Pure Profile™ Panel technology is a noteworthy advancement in kite design. The strategically placed panels provide ultimate control over the aerodynamic profiles in the kite. They create a smooth, stable profile entry that improves overall kite efficiency, performance and range.

SPRINT SYSTEM W/ AIRLOCK

The Sprint inflation systems is the most efficient and easy way to get your kite inflated and deflated quickly. The enlarged Airlock valve quickly feeds air into all of the struts from a single location. The Airlock connection to the Sprint pump requires no special adapters. Once inflated, you can lock off each strut independently to keep your kite’s rigid frame, and isolate any accidental strut deflation from the rest of the kite. When the session is over, the entire kite will deflate in seconds thanks to the Airlock valve’s large dump feature.

Dynamic arc allows the kite to have two distinct arc shapes. The arc of the kite takes on one shape while flying, and another shape while in resting mode on the water. While resting on the water the arc opens up slightly to facilitate an easier relaunch.

POWER CONTROL

Every Cabrinha kite comes with a simple, user adjustable way to choose the power level of the kite. Each rear line “pig tail” connector has three power positions you can connect to. The middle position is the factory recommended position. However, the user can choose to create more power by connecting the knot closest to the kite, or less power by connecting to the knot closest to the rider.

Increased Leading Edge segments provide a smooth, high definition and aerodynamic arc.

ONSHORE / OFFSHORE (DRIFTER)

A long, narrow wing generally has a high aspect ratio, whereas a short, stubby wing has a low aspect ratio. A high aspect ratio design makes the kite fly forward and point upwind incredibly well. The lower the aspect ratio design is more responsive and provides a consistent and stable pull.

Offshore setting optimizes performance for surfing in side shore and offshore wind. This facilitates better upwind ability which allows for easier cutbacks in offshore wind. Onshore setting optimizes performance for surfing in side shore and onshore wind. This setting provides for the maximum amount of “drift” as well as tighter turning.

1X SECURITY

SLACKLINE DRIFT (DRIFTER)

Upon activation of 1X’s single line flagging system the power of a kite is immediately killed and it will rest motionless on the water or land.

The layout starts in segmented sections in the design software, but, in-flight its natural shape is a smooth arc. In order to make the transition between segmented and curved, we doubled the aerodynamic control by cutting each canopy panel in half at the center section, providing the ultimate curvature control which is where 90% of the performance comes from. When a kite is clean and smooth it is faster through the sky, giving you a broader range of performance.

KITE TUNING OPTIONS

The ability to park itself and stay aloft longer when the lines go slack so you can focus entirely on riding the wave.

We offer multiple tuning options which completely change the way a kite flies. These options allow you to customize the feedback and bar pressure, adjust where the kite sits in the window, and balance the power/ de-power range of the kite. Cabrinha highly recommends testing the different settings for yourself to find out what feels the best to you.

Thrust is now generated more effortlessly and the kite’s ability to ‘climb’ uphill has been greatly improved. DESIGN PROFILE Leading edge inflatable dihedral with forward outline and ultra rigid double strut. As the sport of Wingsurfing is literally taking off, its range of use is getting exponentially wider. The all new Crosswing X2 follows the sports leap in performance to provide cutting edge features not seen in other wings. The Crosswing X2 has an all new body outline and inflatable frame which makes it incredibly stiff and rigid. The wing holds its shape while under heavy loads or while boosting massive airs. The control factor has been upped in many important ways. First off, we’ve fully separated the air boom inflation from the leading edge inflated section. This allows us to properly pressure each section individually to achieve the X2’s incredible stiffness while in flight. We’ve then taken that concept one step further with our unique Double Strut™ technology. The Double Strut™ of the X2 allows one inflated mini strut to support the canopy profile while the second “boom” strut is designed for precise ergonomics and predictable wing control. Each strut serves its own function and purpose without compromise. VOLCANIC BASALT

Basalt is a volcanic mineral fiber which offers vibration resistance and durability while maintaining a high strength to weight ratio. Washed pure molten basalt rock is absent of toxic additives. The combination of wood core with basalt laminate provides a flex characteristic, unique to Cabrinha.

PARABOLIC RAILS

Core profiling is the most efficient way to control tip, tail and torsional flex. Tapered raised rails control the torsional stiffness and enhances flex control while keeping the board weight to a minimum. Freeride boards benefit the most from the technology with a substantial increase in rebound.

ABS

ABS is a tough hard wearing composite material which bonds very well to epoxy. This is used during the lay-up process ensuring a smooth, durable and consistent ride. All twin tip rails and insert blocks are made from ABS material.

GRIND BASE

Compression formed for enhanced slide and durability on obstacles. Found exclusively on the CBL.

FLEX

Flex allows the rocker of the board to change in response to different riding conditions. For those who ride fast and want the board to react quickly.
