On March 8, the Centro Criollo de Ciencia y Tecnología (C3Tec) celebrated International Women’s Day for the fifth consecutive year, with the topic of Rectifying Inequalities and Removing Barriers. The event included a panel of women in the science and technology fields who talked about the challenges and opportunities to revolutionize the next generation of STEAM professionals, in addition to recognizing the introduction of women and girls in science. Over 104 young women participated in person, 1,104 virtually, and for the first time, we had a sign language interpreter for the deaf population.
