We are looking forward to celebrating #VolunteersWeek and the #MonthOfCommunity - both of which begin today - Wednesday 1 June. See inside for opportunities to celebrate the fantastic support volunteers provide in our communities, for details of the themes of this year’s Month of Community, and to access materials to join the celebration via social media and at events. Let us know what you’ll be doing to celebrate, and how we can support you. There’s still time to help shape our Strategy for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector in Cardiff, which we are co-producing with our members and partners to influence how we can work together to make the differences needed in our local communities. See page 13 for details. We know that rising costs are a concern for our members and communities. We’d like to hear your thoughts on how the rising cost of living and fuel are impacting on you - our members - and the people you are there to support. Please complete the survey here. We will use the details you share with us to shape our services and priorities and to influence decisions on how the voluntary sector can be supported to best meet local needs. Welsh Government recently provided an update on its support to help tackle the cost of living crisis - including a £152m scheme providing a £150 payment to those on the Council Tax Reduction Scheme and households in council tax bands A to D. We’ll share other details as they become available. Please feel free to share them widely with colleagues and people in the wider community. If we can help you with any enquiries, including relating to the items in this bulletin, please call us on 07973 725 335 or email us at enquiries@c3sc.org.uk. With best wishes, Sheila and the C3SC Team
