The Sunice Brand Story Sunice was established in 1976 as a result of a meeting between a clothing designer and a manufacturer of emergency services uniforms.

Soon after, Sunice began applying the same technologies used to protect in extreme conditions to making insulated outerwear for outdoor enthusiasts.

and in 2010 Sunice was an Olympic licensee for technical performance wear for the Vancouver games.

In the early 90’s Sunice brought their expertise in performance wear to golf and soon became the preferred choice of outerwear for PGA Tour players.

Sunice has been the chosen Brand of Outerwear for Presidents Cup teams since 2011, most recently outfitting both the United States and International teams in the 2017 Presidents Cup.

In 1982 Sunice was asked to make the suits that outfitted the first Canadian expedition to the summit of Mount Everest. Sunice also had the privilege of outfitting the first North American woman to climb the summit of Mount Everest.

From these beginnings Sunice continued to build outerwear of remarkable quality. In 1988 Sunice was selected to outfit the Canadian Olympic team

The Sunice TOUR dominance was validated in 2015 by a Darrel Survey that saw Sunice win every official count, making it the #1 Outerwear Brand on Tour. This recognition was made even more special due to the fact that all players were wearing Sunice by choice and not because they were under contract.

Sunice continues to evolve and lead the industry with products of exceptional performance.

With its unique sotf hand feel and super quiet laminate, it’s almost shocking that this fabric comes with a 4-year waterproof guarantee.

THE ZEPHAL® MEMBRANE The ZEPHAL® membrane has over 9 billion pores per square inch. It’s these pores that give ZEPHAL® fabric its waterproof, windproof, and breathable characteristics.

The microscopic pores of the membrane are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, which means that no rain can penetrate it. This is what makes the ZEPHAL® membrane waterproof.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN? We believe waterproof products shouldn’t leak - and, what is more, that this quality is retained over the entire lifetime of the product. The durability of waterproofness is really what sets ZEPHAL® products apart. ZEPHAL® fabrics withstand water-entry pressures encountered during severe weather and in demanding applications. However, a product’s waterproof protection depends on more than just the fabric. That’s why all new ZEPHAL® product prototypes from our manufacturing partners are put though a battery of tests in our labs.

Only if they meet our strict weatherproof performance standards are they approved for production.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? Wet fabrics conduct heat 3 times faster than dry clothes, robbing your body of warmth. By keeping water out, our durably waterproof clothing system prevents this heat loss. As a result, you stay dry and comfortable, even during extended use, and in harsh conditions.

Protx2™ modifies fabric at the molecular level by permanently attaching hydrophobic ‘hairs’ to individual fibers that lift liquids, causing them to bead and roll right off the fabric surface. THE ZEPHALÂŽ MEMBRANE

BREATHABLE

The pores are 700 times larger than a water vapor molecole which means perspiration passes right through. This is what makes the Sunice membrane breathable.

THE ZEPHAL® MEMBRANE

WINDPROOF

The membrane’s structure is similar to that of a hedge. The wind is caught up entirely in the branching and thus averted from the body. This is what makes the Sunice membrane windproof.

WindPROOF Windproof outerwear preserves your microclimate and keeps you comfortable.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Although textiles like microfibers, closely woven fabrics, and many fleece materials are often considered windproof, even light winds can penetrate most of these fabrics, making you feel chilled and uncomfortable. In technical terms, a fabric can only be considered truly windproof if its air permeability is 1.0 cfm (volume of air that passes through one cubic foot of fabric in one minute) or less. All ZEPHAL® products meet or exceed this standard.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? As cold wind blows through your clothes, it causes convective heat loss, robbing you of the warmth kept in the thin layer of air between you and your clothing. ZEPHAL® fabrics prevent this windchill from happening by stopping the wind from passing through. The result – you preserve a comfortable microclimate inside your gear.

1 DISRUPTION OF THE CELL WALL COUPLING ENZYME

Protx2™ halts the addition of the main building block of a cell wall.

By blocking further development, as the cell wall degrades, there is no mechanism in place by which to repair or replace those weak wall components, so over time the cell wall will just fall apart.

2 DISRUPTION OF THE RESPIRATORY CYCLE Protx2™ binds to the nutrients, Maganese and Zinc, making them unable to be processed normally by a cell. If the cell cannot bind to the nutrients, for all intents and purposes, the cell starves to death for lack of nutrition.

3 INHIBITION OF ATP SYNTHESIS

Every cell in the body requires energy to survive, grow and multiply. A cell gains energy through the conversion of molecules into ATP. The process of converting energy requires Hydrogen ions, like gasoline into a car for combustion. Protx2™ prevents the uptake of Hydrogen ions by the cell, therefore starving the engine of the fuel it requires, in this case, the production of ATP for energy.
