TERESA KAYLOR & BRENDA WILLIAMS KAYLOR TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT What made you choose a career in real estate?

Brenda: I was actually approached by a real estate company about taking the classes. At the time, I was leaning toward a career in insurance, but once I learned more about glad I made that choice.

Teresa: home in 1983. After expanding that business it seemed like a great fit for me to transition into real estate full time in 1998.

How do you stay caught up on real estate market trends and changes?

Brenda: I stay up to date by following both local and national real estate news, and I also keep a close eye on what’s happening in our day-to-day market. That helps me stay informed so I can better guide my clients.

Teresa: I attend seminars, and independently research online.

How do you expand your client base?

Brenda: I focus a lot on being involved in the community.

I attend local events, especially sporting events. I really enjoy connecting with people. Building those relationships naturally leads to new opportunities.

Teresa: I would be considered old school. Relationships.

And of course social media.

How do you stand out from other teams?

Brenda: I think what really sets us apart is our involvement in the community.We genuinely care about the people here, and that shows in how we work with our clients and support those around us.

Teresa: We are both Huntington born and raised and know this area well. Together we have over 80 years of experience in the industry.

Do you have any inspirational success stories from real estate?

Brenda: For me, the most meaningful aspect is playing part in families finding their “forever homes”, and getting to walk alongside them during that time—even if it’s just for a little while—is really special.

Do you currently specialize in any niche of real estate?

Or do you both have a specific niche?

Brenda: I work with both existing homes and new construction, so I’m able to help a wide range of clients depending on what they’re looking for.

Is there anybody you regard highly or see as a mentor to your team?

Yes—Teresa Kaylor has been both a mentor and a friend to me. I really value her guidance and the experience she brings.
