Instagram boomed simply because people nowadays are more visual, they prefer infographics than reading a paragraph. They tend to watch videos rather than reading a whole story. If you have images it’s more likely going to get attention than the traditional way of advertising. Instagram nowadays took a whole new level, it’s now part of our modern day lives. May it be for personal use or for business use.

I can say her feed looks so cool, it gives you a certain delight and a pinch of joy looking at her feed. They have the same color pattern, brightness, pictures are crystal clear and when she posts, it garners real audience response in no time.

Consistency is the key to have an established Instagram account. It’s just more than good pictures. It’s what people can relate to that they decide who they follow to. If they feel they can relate to what you’re posting or what your hobbies are or if they can learn something new from you then they will follow you. Sometimes it takes more than that; others can make a big impact in people’s lives through photos. Some people get inspired or saw a picture that kickstarted their day, turned their bad day the other way around, lifted up their mood, brought hope... The possibilities are endless, you’ll never know who you made smile today. Same for business, people rely on the internet now when they search for something, simply because it’s more efficient. You don’t have to drive outside, spend your energy walking or leave your children at home. There are always options available for you online and one great advantage is you can get to see other customer’s reviews that will help you decide on choosing. As a business owner, you can prove yourself not just using words but using real execution, showing them your real skills by posting proofs on your feed. Posting evidence that previous customers loved your work, that you’re interacting with them as well. It will give others the impression that you are hands-on with your business and is great to deal with. That’s the beauty of Instagram. You’ll have a lifetime portfolio without even paying anything. Treasure it, put all your creative ideas to it, take innovation, hard work and consistency. Next thing you’ll know you have lots of projects on your plate than you can actually handle. Indeed, possibilities are endless in our modern day age.

1Models do not charge models for joining our model management company. We take a commission from each job, details of which will be available to you in our modeling contract.
In our experience reputable agencies do not charge joining fees; we would be very wary of any agency that charges fees up-front. And be very wary of agencies that agree to take you on ONLY if you pay for a portfolio of pictures with them, the chances are that (a set of photos) is all you will get. There a lot of scams in the modelling world most of which can be avoided with a degree of common sense. Most companies that charge up-front fees should be avoided, at the very least ask what you get in return and ask WHY they charge. Don't hand over any money in Hotels or Shopping Centre’s to so-called 'agencies' that take a few photos with promises of work. Chances are you will never hear from them again. If in doubt feel free to give us a call, we will always try to give you advice based on our experience!

THE UGLY TRUTH ABOUT MODELING
A Model is a person who promotes, display or advertise products, different brands, or to serve as a subject for artistic people whether it be posing for painting or photography. Modeling might sound fancy for others because you’ve got to enjoy a lot of perks. You get to wear expensive clothes from the brand you are representing, be able to wear different shades of makeup for a cosmetic line you carry, you can be the first to wear fabulous designer clothes, shoes, and accessories, or your skin is being taken care of a derma company you represent. But many of us don’t know that there are a lot of struggles behind this glamorous job. There are laughter and tears, happiness and heartaches. Bad treatment is all over the place and staff - As a model, you are treated as a product and not a person. Especially in the beginning when you are still an unknown. Some of the staff tends to talk at you, not to you. Sometimes stylists, photographers or other models will talk about you as if you are not in the same room. For anyone lacking confidence in them, this can be very upsetting. Usually, there will be comments about your physical appearance too and endless comparison between you and other models in your circle.
Some models are lucky because they became popular and established their names in the industry they chose. On top of that, they are internationally recognized, has a reputation, group of fans and companies always on a look out for them and willing to negotiate for their talent fees. On the other hand, there are some models that are not lucky as they are. They earn as well but not what they really deserve as I may say. They don’t have a name attached to their face. Usually, we see them in TV commercials, in the cosmetic stores, lingerie departments or in a famous clothing brand banner. We normally say, this girl has the prettiest lips! I want to follow her on Instagram, but what is her name by the way? No one can answer. Some end up searching but the answer is too hard to find. These models without names are the backbone of the modeling industry. They are all over the place! They are smiling in your shampoo bottle, in your kitchen appliance box, even the flyer handouts given to you from the streets, name it they are present everywhere! Huge companies benefit so much from them. They can get the service at a lower cost, while the models get to do the job that they love. It is a win-win situation, yes, but they deserve to be known at least in their names.

Some were even taken a stolen shot; sell their pictures without them knowing it. The artist or photographer benefited big time but did not bother to give the model what is rightfully hers. In this industry, it's rampant that models are having a hard time getting paid. Compared to the amount of income they produce on a specific project, the amount of influence or consumer response they did on a campaign, no matter what the results were, - they are still being paid way too far than what they deserve. Agencies and companies are not being transparent, some even withheld earnings too. They are being taken advantage of greedy people since they are newbies, aspiring models on the rise. Some models who walk in a fashion event are not being paid at all! Instead, models work for experience, exposure, or worst, free clothes! Well, sad truth, jeans can’t pay your rent dear. Business owners need to take care of them as well, because they are the face of every company they represent. They must be always acknowledged in every project they belong or campaign that they do, just as how we want others to respect our presence when in a gathering. We as a citizen must have a call to action to stop the abuse in this unregulated industry towards young women, may it be physical, emotional, psychological or in the financial aspect. I know it’s always a terrible situation to be silent just to keep your job. So we must have give them a voice. They are our future; we must no longer stay silent about the rampant abuses that others have already experienced. It would be better if all agencies and companies are transparent in everything and a little help from authorities who aim to protect these young ladies would go a long way. Together let’s build a better and safer place in the modeling industry for the next generations to come. We have sisters, daughters, nephews and friends who have dreams too. Who knows they aim for the same direction when they grow up. Would it be better if we see them thriving in a more secure and friendlier industry of modeling?
