What do you see?
Can I show you? Do I have the skill to show you what you have?
Can you see leaves, flipped and flying and a sea and a forest?
Do you see a bright journey of light from a moss banked beck running downhill to see a river and meeting, one day, an ocean. Can you see a mountain in the clay as rock face slate.
Do you see a bond of sculptress and sculpture, motions of making and seeing and can you see how hard it is, to live, sometimes, to be in it, swimming. I don’t understand
what hope means it’s not tangible.
But can I give you Spring? I want to.

are stronger and beauty seldom sits kindly with grief but then, there is poetry?

London sweats in dry concrete as I stand in land misted, damp and pungent on Autumn’s shoulder.
Summer screeches in the city on tracks of steel shouting MOTION. But here all the shades of green are still as pigeons pulse the morning in and wren wings move whispers of air to fly.
Put your head inside this valley and you will hear a quiet life. A sheep eating, a horse shaking, a pet dog barking for the want of work and a too old lamb bleats ‘Mummy, I still need you’.

And when I say swimming, I mean head down ducking back arching feet flipping below the barrel. I mean to see silver fire flickered fish. I mean to float, sometimes eying the sky, I mean full in the face mister whippy forehead scream. I mean you get out back and come in with a grin, again and again and your cheesy chips taste the best and you’ve smashed your tooth but the beer is so good now. And the fire is on. You swam. You’re a swimmer.
