rhythm and booze. a collection of live rock and roll snaps from my iphone inspired by cider and jagermeister.

introduction this is just a bit of fun. with an iphone. well, 2 iphones actually. one new shiny one. and one knackered one with a scratched to buggery lens. the shots are my personal record of just some of the many gigs i haul my sorry old arse to. they’re clearly not ansel adams, anton corbijn or annie leibowitz quality. nowhere even close. unsurprisingly. they’re not meant to be. they’re as they come out of the phone and tickled on the bum a bit in photoshop. as i say, just a personal record. some wildly blurred. some so grainy you can almost run your finger over the lumps. but all original and taken (usually after a few drinks) in the wonderful, lager-drenched sweaty hell holes over the uk. shot from the pit, from the bar and from the hip, they’re just trying to capture some of the energy and life which bursts from the pores of the alt and underground rock scene. i’ve selected just a few and bunged them together in this book for personal amusement alone. there are no prissy intellectual or image copyright issues - if you want to steal, borrow or use them, then please feel free (i think they call it copyleft © ). the bands and artists that i’ve snapped represent some of my favourite live acts around. there are, of course, many omissions from the list. some because i didn’t get to the gig. but most because i didn’t get round to getting the phone out - either because of being jammed in the pit, or, more probably, because of too much jagermeister or sailor jerry’s. anyway, ‘ave a look. and if you haven’t, then get down to some of this lot’s shows. cheers, bwoooar.
