THEAAMW STORY
In 1987, three local businessmen, Tom Clark, Herb Jamison and the late Roger Williams, met for dinner to discuss how to support underserved Westchester residents and now,AAMW is a 501 (c)(3) organization that has successfully served thousands of youth, families and women throughout the county.
OUR MISSION
The African American Men of Westchester, Inc. (“AAMW”) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1987 by three Westchester County residents to capitalize on the vast talent of theAfrican American community.
The membership is composed of men who have distinguished themselves in a variety of professional fields. AAMW’s mission is to leverage opportunities to strengthen the educational, economic and developmental foundation of our communities. To that end, the organization provides the community with a variety of programs focused on youth development, financial literacy and social justice.
