MERRY LUNCH Back in November before everyone left home for the long holiday, we had our wonderful BWA Christmas Lunch at the Mandarin Oriental. Huge thanks to Mandarin Oriental for the beautiful food, awesome decoration of the room and all the staff who helped make that a wonderful start to the festive season. Everyone had a tremendously good time with a few drinks, carol signing, games and lots of giggles thrown in!

FESTIVE FUN Whoosh! …..and just like that it was time for the last event of the BWA social calendar!

The house looked wonderfully festive as it opened its doors to our lovely BWA members and friends for our traditional Merry Mingle. Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without the warm tones of Buble and Bing Crosby, Christmas carols and Slade playing in the background creating a lovely atmosphere. In true potluck style our tables were groaning with quiche, sandwiches, hummus, salads and all things cake as well as festive mince pies, whilst our trusty punch bowl was put to great use! We mingled, chatted, laughed and hugged as we said goodbye to each other and to 2019 in true BWA style.

POTTERY WORKSHOP BY ERESA

A WARM WELCOME Thank you Warung Turki for having a big crowd of us in your beautiful restaurant representing the Mediterranean Sea, serving up authentic wonderful Turkish Cuisine. A great afternoon to meet new people and see old friends after the long holiday.

Besides being a Yoga expert, we are delighted to have Eresa back in the house to teach us all about Pottery. It was extremely fun and it was not as messy as we all thought it would be, on the contrary, it was a relaxing afternoon amongst friends.

ALL ABOUT BATIK Lucy’s Batik hosted us at their beautiful store, back in March. We were being introduced to the story of Lucy’s Batik. Most of us bagged home dresses, homewares and decoratives. Besides the shopping fun, we also get to try our hands on batik printing and even get to bring them back. Visit lucysbatik.com to find out more about Lucy’s Batik and the workshop they offer.

ART FOR ALL Our very talented Terez in the house with her magic hand on watercolour! It was relaxing alongside with a lovely glass of punch to help with our artistic flow.

HAPPY HOURS To kickstart a Friday, we get to try our hands at cocktail making at the Dharmawangsa Hotel. All of us were presented with a certificate at the end of the session. It was a gleeful afternoon for our members indeed! Check out The Cognac Lounge at the Dharmarwangsa Hotel, they offers premium cognac, whisky, wines and cocktails, complemented with an enticing selection of canapés.
