Some people spend their whole lives searching for what they are really good at—for what they love. But, not Lisa Roiret. At just 28 years old, her love for authentic French crêpes has guided her to build a growing small business sharing the joy of her family’s recipe with the world. Lisa’s passion for French cooking, and crêpes in particular, started when she was just a child. While being raised on the island of Corsica, Lisa first learned how to make crêpes beside her French mother and grandmother using a recipe that had been in her family for generations. In 1997, Lisa relocated to the US. There she finished school and went on to join the US Navy as a helicopter mechanic. Every chance she had, Lisa would try local crêpe shops, searching for a little taste of her childhood. And every time, she was disappointed; the crêpes never tasted like real French crêpes. While stationed in San Diego, Lisa would make crêpes on Friday mornings to help raise money for her squadron’s Christmas Party. It was a huge hit! Officers and enlisted alike lined up out the door, anxious to get a taste of the irresistible treat they could smell all the way down the street. At that moment, Lisa realized she had something special in her homemade crêpes. In May 2017, Lisa participated in a French pop-up event in Princeton, NJ with a single crepe machine under a tent, and Lisa’s Crêperie was born. Soon after, Lisa and her family relocated to Atlanta, GA, and she started serving her delicious crêpes at the Peachtree City Farmers Market, private events, festivals, and movie sets. Today, she owns a food truck, offers catering platters, and live crepe bars. On June 15, 2019, she opened her first cafe at 48 Main St, in Senoia GA.

Fayetteville’s newest resident who proudly hails from New Orleans has created quite a “Buzzzz” and locals are taking notice. Thais arrived in 2018 and in less than 3 years she has interviewed celebrities, introduced us all to countless small businesses all while expanding her range as an Abstract Artist with “ThaisFlowers”. What’s ThaisFlowers you ask? A collection of handpainted hair flowers that ladies about town are buzzing about. When she isn’t painting her signature collection she can be found simply being a mother to her 7yr old daughter, Iyla. As she approaches yet another accomplishment Buzzzz’N Magazine was front and center. Thais can not add the word “Actress” to her artsy resume. Casted as “Dr Kaiu” Thais will star alongside Omar Gooding and Darrin Henson in “Prisoner of Love”. An indie film directed by Michele Adams of New Orleans, Louisiana. What’s the biggest struggle you’ve had as a Craftmaker, and did you over come it? If so, how? If not, what did you learn? It’s been a rough ride but I see myself as a horse with blinders on and no matter what I just KEEP GOING. There will always be distractions to set us apart from our overall goal but all in all it’s how we endure hardships that define us.
