Welcome to P&R Herefords 3rd Production Sale! On behalf of my brother Ross and I, our family, our neighbor and guest consignor GraftBritton Ranch, we invite you to the third production sale of P&R Herefords. We are very excited about this year’s sale offering and we hope you can attend the sale. This year we are offering a little different variety of genetics to hopefully expand our customer base. For the first time, we will offer a limited number of quality polled Hereford bulls, and we will be offering progeny and heifer sexed semen out of the national champion TFR KU Roll the Dice 1326 herd sire, the 2015 American Royal Grand Champion Hereford Bull. As always, the bulk of the sale will consist of our signature “range cattle efficiency” horned Hereford cattle bred to make you money out on the range. A nice set of Churchill Sensation 028X sons sell and will offer our customers an opportunity to buy a group of uniform calving ease bulls with exceptional maternal and longevity capabilities. The Graft-Britton bulls are as a whole the most solid set of uniform, quality line-one bulls that Glenn and Jean have offered in our sales. They are a great set of bulls that really look like “peas in a pod.” We also purchased a handful of bulls last spring so we could offer a little larger offering in this year’s sale. There are a couple of real herd bull prospects within them, and all of the bulls should work in anyone’s commercial operation. The American Hereford Association came out with a new EPD called the Sustained Cowherd Fertility EPD (SCF), to measure fertility and maternal longevity in the Hereford breed. It is no surprise to us that CL 1 Domino 5110R and Churchill Sensation 028X are both breed leaders in this important trait. Both of these bulls will continue to play a prominent role in our herd in the years ahead as their capacity to produce high volume, easy fleshing, low birthweight, moderate growth, high maternal cattle with exceptional fertility and longevity is unequaled in the Hereford breed. We had a couple of visitors this year comment on how we really raise our registered Hereford cattle just like our family’s commercial cow-herd. We do raise them the same, and there is a big reason why, we want to be able to see things in our cattle that you can’t see on heavily supplemented or grain fed cattle. P&R Herefords is committed to raising as problem free cattle as possible, bred to survive in the range conditions of the open ranch country that we, and many of our customers, raise cattle in. To date, only two sale bulls have been returned, one was because he broke his working equipment, and we gladly replaced the bull. P&R knows you have to make a profit and we will stand behind your purchases, this year’s bulls are in excellent range condition and ready to go to work. GUARANTEE All sale cattle are, to the best of our knowledge, free of any disease or defect. Any known defects will be called at sale time. All cattle are guaranteed breeders. Any bred female selling is considered a breeder without further warranty. If any animal fails to breed after a trial of six months, it may be returned to the seller in good condition and in compliance with Oklahoma health regulations. The seller reserves the right to try said animal for 90 days and, if it proves to be a breeder, return it to the buyer at the buyer’s expense. If the animal proves to be a nonbreeder, the purchase price will either be refunded or credited toward the purchase of an animal in the next sale at the buyer’s option. No adjustments will be made after nine months from the sale date. We assume no liability, legal or otherwise, to make any further compensation to the buyer. DELIVERY & TRUCKING Delivery will be provided up to 250 miles from the sale facility on all bull purchases of $5,000 or more. Delivery on the females will be at buyer’s costs but we will help assist with the delivery of any sale animals the best we can. All sale cattle must be paid in full before delivery with no exceptions. REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER Registration certificates will be transferred to buyers upon request at seller’s expense. In addition, seller will pay for the cost of DNA test direct to the American Hereford Association for parent verification on any calves born to females that were exposed to multiple herd sires upon request.

The P&R Horned Sale Bulls This year’s sale bulls didn’t get to see any wheat pasture last winter due to late planting, so they survived on wheat hay and 2/3 wheat mid and 1/3 alfalfa cubes from Cross Alfalfa until spring, with the exception of the bulls purchased from L Bar W, and Copelands. The bulls were on graze-out wheat from March until the end of May, and then ran on crabgrass all summer, with the mid/alfalfa cubes being fed again, sometimes switching it up with 20% range breeder cubes as well. We do not feed our bulls grain like other operations so that we can distinguish forage feed efficiency and fleshing ability that simply cannot be measured if fed hot grain rations.
