This sale will have a great group of bred females along with some very promising calves that can provide a lot of enjoyment to a young person and their families. The breeders have outdone themselves bringing high quality cattle that will go out and perform for their new owners. The cattle in this sale are good enough to be a part of a breeding program in any herd across the country. The herds that these cattle come from may not be the largest farms in the country but they do come from some of the most progressive bloodlines in the industry.

Welcome Letter

It seems like yesterday as a young child I was introduced to this fine breed of cattle. The same traits that I grew up with and the aid of great breeders have continued to become even stronger. Hardiness, mothering ability, meat and muscle, and the ability to grow and flourish on marginal land have only become stronger through the years. All of these traits put in a package that will not go crazy and jump through walls, windows and fences that can be handled safely. The Hereford cattle of today are some of the most sought after cattle in the country because of these traits.

Cash or check. All purchases will be required to be settled on the day of the sale, prior to release unless other arrangements have been made.

Rules of the sale:

Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer shall settle any or all disputes. Any announcements made from the auction block shall take precedence over any printed material in the book or supplemental sheets furnished on sale day. All animals in this sale will become the immediate property of the purchaser once they are sold.

Bids:

For those who wish to participate in the sale and are unable to attend, you may contact any one of the owners or sale staff members to represent you in the bidding. You will need to realize this will be a binding agreement between you and the person representing you. You can be assured all requests will be handled professionally and in complete confidence. We recommend you make arrangements prior to the start of the sale with one of the owners or sale staff members so you will be assured participation.

Registration and EPDs:

Each animal’s registration papers will be transferred to the new owner(s) at the seller’s expense. All calves born after the sale are to be registered by the new owner(s). Proper breeding statements will be signed by the seller for the buyer to use in registering calves born after the sale. The buyer will be responsible for obtaining AI certificates of service to register calves born by sires not owned by the sellers. The EPDs reported and shown are the latest provided by the American Hereford Association.

Liability:

All persons attending the sale and related functions do so at their own risk. Each owner assumes no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accident which may occur.

Breeding guarantee:

All cattle in this sale are guaranteed in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the American Hereford Association. Any females represented to be pregnancy checked safe is guaranteed to be pregnant at the time of this sale. All females safe in calf or with a calf at side are considered breeders with no further guarantee. All females who have been serviced but not checked safe in calf carry no guarantee on this breeding. Updated breeding information and vet pregnancy checks will be available sale day.

Trucking:

At the buyer’s request, we will be happy to assist in making arrangements for delivery of cattle after the sale.

Consignor’s Responsibility:

The seller is the responsible party for all representation made about the cattle. The management of the sale assumes no liability, legal or otherwise, but will endeavor to protect the interest of both the buyer and the seller.
