Dear Friends and Cattlemen, It is indeed a pleasure to welcome you all to the 36th Annual Go-Pher the Purple Sale. We all have seen a lot of changes in 2016, from farm commodity prices to an election year, this is sure to be a year we won’t soon forget. I also see this as a year of opportunity for us as cattlman, whether you are a commercial producer or purebred breeder, there is opportunity to take advantage of the current market changes and add some value to your operation with the availability of soem fresh young genetics to your program. That opportunity awaits you on December 10th in Hutchinson! I personally had the privilege of traveling around the state of Minnesota and viewing this years sale offering and I want to commend the consignors on what I feel is one of the strongest sets of cattle they have offered yet. There is a nice selection of herd bull prospects that would go right to work for both the purebred and commercial cattlemen. There are some outstanding heifer calves and exciting mating’s on the bred females. Again this year you will be able to watch and bid on the sale offering on the Internet through DV Auctions.
